Andrew Weatherall once likened the overwhelmingly vast collection of music on the Internet to a supermarket having too much jam on the shelves. Give customers too much choice (whether that be fruit preserves or music) and the adverse effect will take hold whereby s/he on the receiving end will walk away empty handed, anxious at the idea of filtering the options. That ‘too much jam’ feeling, y’know?

In this age where electronic music, as we know it, is slowly becoming increasingly homogenised, it's why we think it's important that we strive to paddle away from the forceful, mainstream current and use of wealth of knowledge and tastes to bring to light deserving productions in a whole myriad of styles. It's sort of our thing. So without further ado may we present to you the musical stylings of Superpoze, the fast rising producer at the vanguard of a new school of French beatmakers set to take the musical world by storm.

First coming to our attention at influential French festival Transmusicales and later via his work with compatriots Dream Koala and STWO, it only takes a brief listen to the work of Superpoze to find yourself a fan, with his melody driven take on electronica enough to melt even the most industrial of hearts. With his hotly anticipated debut album 'Opening' arriving June 8th via Combien Mille Records, 2015 looks set to be a massive year for the young gallic producer as he sets his sights on world domination. Aztec philosophy mainly focused on dualism, monism, and aesthetics, and Aztec philosophers attempted to answer the main Aztec philosophical question of how to gain stability and balance in an ephemeral world.

Aztec philosophy saw the concept of Ometeotl as a unity that underlies the universe. Ometeotl forms, shapes, and is all things. Even things in opposition—light and dark, life and death—were seen as expressions of the same unity, Ometeotl. The belief in a unity with dualistic expressions compares with similar dialectical monist ideas in both Western and Eastern philosophies.

The arts were seen as a way to express the true nature of Everything. Art was considered to be good if it in some way brought about a better understanding of teotl.

ORIGINAL POETRY:

Un bacio, una notte. Poi ci perdiamo. Al primo intoppo. Soffici come la seta. Con la paura di strapparci, lacerarci. Con il timore di un futuro negato, di una prospettiva che non abbiamo creato. Viviamo nel qui, nella comodità di attimi senza panico, rifugiati in polveri sottili che tolgono il sonno e pure il senso di un domani. Vorrei averti avuto o almeno esser finito in un ricordo, in un angolo di speranza, dentro un soffio di lucidità. Ed invece sfumo, come la tua vita che sfreccia tra una follia ed un bicchiere, tra un sorriso di carta ed un altro giorno, l’ennesimo, da far passare.

We live in here, in the comfort of moments with no panic, sheltered by fine dust stealing our sleep and the meaning of tomorrow. Matthew Barney once said this about his early ‘Drawing Restraint’ work that really struck me: “I was thinking about how the body functions in training – how the muscle breaks down under resistance and then heals larger and stronger. I was trying to use that process of resistance to create form.”
