The music of well-travelled artist Yusuf Lemone tastes best while sipping a Gin & Tonic or hanging out on a shady place in the desert. 
During his creative career his tracks have been released on labels like Pachamama, Copycow and Kindisch. 
His sets are always slow with surprising twists and a dose of disco. 
Yusuf’s goal is to put depth into shallowness and shallowness into depth, always balancing himself and the audience, while never taking himself too seriously.

Schleichcast°46 feels like an ode to the beauty of slow that embraces the seemingly endless pool of possibilities inherent to this musical style, while however only giving us a little foretaste of how wide this spectrum could potentially be. A sonic journey calmly evolving through a variety of genres that are blending effortlessly to pave its way. Kind of like when nature starts thriving after hibernation, proudly presenting its infinite palette of colors, some of which might only exist in your vague memories. But now that they appear again, you see them clearly and brightly in front of you as if they had never been away. You still appreciate their beauty just as you did on the first day you recognized them, but the renewed encounter also awakens your curiosity for those unknown angles and facets that are still out there to be explored. You realize once again that it is hardly possible to exploit that whole potential of the (musical) universe, which fills you with humility and excitement at the same time.

>>Wer bist du und woher kommst du?
Ich bin Nelly, komme ursprünglich aus der Nähe von Vechta und lebe aktuell in Oldenburg.

>>Wie kamst du zum Auflegen?
Angefangen hats tatsächlich damit, dass ich private Hauspartys veranstaltete und dadurch mit Djs in Kontakt getreten bin. Durch den Austausch mit anderen Musikschaffenden stand ich irgendwann selbst hinter einem Setup. Einige Zeit später beschloss ich, mir einen eigenen Controller zu besorgen.

>>Was hat dich für das Set inspiriert?
Mhh… Es war die Lust mal wieder etwas langsamere Musik zu spielen. Das letzte Mal ist leider etwas länger her.

>>Was gefällt dir besonders an "langsamer" Musik?
Mir gefällt besonders, wie antreibend Ruhe und damit auch langsame Musik sein kann. Es macht Spaß, sich langsam fallen zu lassen und dahin zu träumen. Beim Auflegen langsamerer Musik lieb ich es, mit mehreren kleinen Loops zu spielen.

>>Welcher Moment deines Künstler:innentums hat dich nachhaltig beeinflusst?
Die Gründung des VIELVIELKOLLEKTIVs. Ein FLINTA* DJ Kollektiv aus Oldenburg, in dem ich seit 2023 mitwirke. Es tut unheimlich gut, sich gegenseitig zu empowern, Mukke zu machen und sich über Technik und andere Themen rund um die Szene auszutauschen!
