When you're talking about techno, few names have been innovating and evolving as much as Robert Hood. When he's not running things over at M-Plant, he can be found touring the festival circuit with his live show and releasing tonnes of fresh new material.

Today we concentrate on his more melodic alias and under the name Floorplan, Hood has released a stunning album showcasing a slightly different yet equally strong sound.

A new EP is set to drop featuring two re-edits of tracks that appeared on his Floorplan album 'Paradise'. 'Phobia' and 'Never Grow Old' have been given a special Re-Plant and we have the premiere of the latter.

We welcome Eric Sneo back on Transmit with his rework of 2012's "Sensation" where he has kicked things up a notch or two, transforming the affair into a grinding behemoth. The vocal has been updated and mangled to taste, while the apocalyptic breakdown offers a welcomed epicness to match the militant bassline. The Junkies remix opts for a more stomping vibe with audio manipulation taking center stage and the looped vocal intertwining with the stripped-down groove. Alex Costa and Alex Mine get together for another rendition where we are treated to a spacious approach with effects galore, letting steamrolling drums and streamlined synths drive it home in style.

<p>Rafa Barrios makes his debut on Phobiq and the title track boasts a sly synth riff and distressed electronics, while the bass-heavy groove chugs away effortlessly. On &#8220;Coco&#8221; the sticky bassline provides the perfect backdrop for quirky effects and helps glue the grinding rhythm section together. &#8220;Delta&#8221; opts for a more dubbed-out approach and unfolds a suspenseful breakdown, which leads us directly to the closing &#8220;Thyphon&#8221; where the gears get kicked up a notch and haunting samples offer the necessary style and finesse.</p>

David Jach & Beatamines - Something Soul

Since his early youth Berlin born MØRBECK was involved in the club scene of the German capital. Inspired by 90s Hip Hop and Techno he set up his first studio in 2002 and began producing music of both genres. After working on several projects during the following years he eventually had his first releases on Berlin based label VAULT SERIES in 2010 which gained widespread recognition. More releases (and remixes) followed on labels such as PERC TRAX, SOMA, M-REC and FIFTH WALL. He was a resident DJ at MONASTERIO (Moscow) and STATTBAD WEDDING (Berlin). Besides that he played numerous clubs und festivals all across the globe.
In 2013 he founded his own imprint CODE IS LAW as a platform for his own music and for artists who shared his vision and passion for Techno. The love for the art and the striving for versatility can be observed not only in his work for the label but also in his DJ sets. The influences from his past are all coming together now shaping the typical MØRBECK sound: rough, groovy, melodic and constantly evolving Techno as you can hear on his most recent release – the highly acclaimed double EP “T.R.I.P.S.“.
