This was my first set where I played with up to 4 tracks, maintaining a constant groove across 3 decks for most of the time.

Die Nacht verschwimmt im Stroboskoplicht, wir tanzen wild, vergessen die Zeit. Kein Gedanke, kein Wort, nur der Sound, der uns mitnimmt, weit und ungebunden.
Der Techno pulsiert in unseren Adern, unser Körper wird zum Schwingen gebracht. Wir feiern das Leben, wir feiern die Nacht, im treibenden Techno, der uns glücklich macht.

Die Energie steigt, die Spannung wächst, wie ein Treibwerk, das jetzt gestartet wird. Wir sind bereit für den Flug ins Unbekannte, mit der treibenden Musik, die uns vereint.

Jester (@jester_de) is a DJ and producer from southern Germany, specializing in dark and groovy techno music. With over six years of experience performing in major local nightclubs, he has developed a unique sound influenced by his love for European electronic music. Jester's sets are known for their deep, rhythmic grooves and hypnotic melodies, creating an immersive experience on the dance floor. He is part of the NKR label (@newkidsrecords) based in Lehmann Club Stuttgart, where he continues to create music and distribute it on various electronic music platforms. Committed to his craft, Jester pushes the boundaries of his music, delivering lively performances that resonate with techno enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Thomas Klaps, professionally known as 𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐬, is a Belgian DJ and techno producer hailing from 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐠𝐢𝐮𝐦, and currently residing in 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧. His passion for electronic music ignited at the age of eight when his father gifted him a record player, marking the beginning of his musical journey.

Over the years, Klaps has established himself in the electronic music scene with 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 and 𝐝𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐉 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐬, performing at renowned festivals such as 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐮𝐤𝐤𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐨𝐩, where he delivered a memorable performance in the 𝐁𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦. He has released music also on 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥, 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐢𝐝, and launched his own label, 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐈𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞.
His music has garnered support from industry leaders like 𝐏𝐚𝐧-𝐏𝐨𝐭, 𝐃𝐮𝐛𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞, 𝐋𝐮𝐢𝐠𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞.

Through his dedication to his craft, with this release on 𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀, he's marking his 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 from a harder, more driving sound to a 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐯𝐞-𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡. These three tracks are his first explorations into a 𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐦-𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐩 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨, blending 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐫𝐡𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐦𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐲𝐩𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲. Each track is crafted to maintain a 𝐝𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰, creating an engaging and infectious dancefloor experience.

Adam Beyer’s Drumcode juggernaut attracts more fans and critical plaudits with each passing year. Holding firm on its future facing ethos, techno’s number one label presents a new volume in its acclaimed A-Sides series with 20 prime tracks to signify its 20th anniversary. 

Such is the volume of quality music Adam Beyer receives throughout the course of the year, releasing all of it would be impossible. Enter the blue chip A-Sides series: a chance for the quality-obsessive label head to issue a collection of outstanding tracks that couldn’t fit in their regular EP release schedule. 

With an eye on future talent, as much as the label’s established roster of heavy-hitters, the compilation showcases the full breadth of Drumcode’s multifaceted techno sound, equal parts inspiring and functional. 

Led by the stealth techno funk of ‘Nine of You’, Beyer’s deft collaboration with Mark Reeve, the compilation takes in exciting highlights from big guns such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Dustin Zahn, Bart Skils, Pleasurekraft, Luca Agnelli, Jay Lumen, Kaiserdisco and Gary Beck. 

The rich vein of form displayed by emerging techno talent is similarly given prime position. Rising DJ/producer Boxia makes his Drumcode debut, fresh from a well-received warm up set for the crew at the hugely successful Junction 2 festival in London, while the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano, Juan Sanchez, Ian O’Donovan and Timmo also drop fire, establishing their credentials as some of the most promising talent breaking through the ranks in 2016. 

Reinforcing the global scope of the label, artists such as The Junkies from Toronto and Layton Giordani from New York, prove techno is winning a place in the heart of the new generation of artists coming out of North America.

GOOD MEMORIES

Since his early youth Berlin born MØRBECK was involved in the club scene of the German capital. Inspired by 90s Hip Hop and Techno he set up his first studio in 2002 and began producing music of both genres. After working on several projects during the following years he eventually had his first releases on Berlin based label VAULT SERIES in 2010 which gained widespread recognition. More releases (and remixes) followed on labels such as PERC TRAX, SOMA, M-REC and FIFTH WALL. He was a resident DJ at MONASTERIO (Moscow) and STATTBAD WEDDING (Berlin). Besides that he played numerous clubs und festivals all across the globe.
In 2013 he founded his own imprint CODE IS LAW as a platform for his own music and for artists who shared his vision and passion for Techno. The love for the art and the striving for versatility can be observed not only in his work for the label but also in his DJ sets. The influences from his past are all coming together now shaping the typical MØRBECK sound: rough, groovy, melodic and constantly evolving Techno as you can hear on his most recent release – the highly acclaimed double EP “T.R.I.P.S.“.
