The Voice of Syrian Hip-Hop

From the heart of Aleppo to global stages, Abdulrahman Masri—better known as Murder Eyez—isn’t just a rapper. He’s a movement. Born on January 8 in Aleppo, Syria, Masri is recognized as the pioneer who brought hip-hop into the public consciousness in Syria, using his voice to challenge the status quo and ignite a cultural revolution.

Early Life: A Voice Born from Struggle
Growing up in Syria during a time of strict censorship and political pressure, Masri found music to be more than just an escape—it was a weapon of truth. His lyrics often reflect the realities he witnessed firsthand: the corruption, the injustice, the war. As a trilingual speaker—fluent in Arabic, English, and German—Masri built bridges with his words, reaching audiences far beyond Syria’s borders.

Even before music, he was passionate about technology, which led him to become a computer engineer. But it was through producing beats, writing lyrics, and guiding other artists that he truly found his calling.

The Birth of Syrian Hip-Hop
Murder Eyez stepped onto the stage in 1999, a teenager with a mic and a mission. A year later, he dropped his first track, Rap Game, marking the beginning of his relentless pursuit to carve a place for rap in a country that had never embraced the genre. In a time where there were no labels, no radio plays, and no media support for hip-hop, he was a one-man army—writing, producing, and engineering his own music.

He eventually founded Big Change Productions, his own independent label dedicated to authentic, raw hip-hop with purpose. For Murder Eyez, it wasn’t just about beats and bars—it was about building a movement.

The Meaning Behind the Name
The name “Murder Eyez” wasn’t chosen lightly. Inspired by the No Fear clothing brand, it became a symbol of unflinching determination—eyes that don’t look away in the face of danger. That fearlessness became his signature, and soon, his music became a rallying cry for those who felt voiceless.

With a hardcore rap style deeply rooted in social and political commentary, he fused Western beats with Arabic melodies, creating something entirely his own. His sound stood out—and so did his message.

The Rise of “963”
In his track Listen Up, Masri did something extraordinary—he took Syria’s country code, 963, and turned it into a national symbol of identity and pride. It quickly spread beyond the music scene—plastered on car windows, social media bios, and graffiti walls. 963 wasn’t just a number anymore. It was a movement.

That same energy fueled his track 963 Syrian MCs Revolution, where he brought together over 50 Syrian rappers from across the globe in a multilingual, genre-defying anthem of unity. It became the longest rap song in Middle Eastern history—and a landmark in regional music.

Movements That Matter
Murder Eyez's work didn’t stop at the studio door. He founded Shahba MC’s, a crew of Aleppo-based rappers who became a driving force in Syrian hip-hop. Later, he launched Syrian Hip-Hop Unity, a movement to connect Syrian artists from inside and outside the country—building a global community around rap, resilience, and resistance.

These aren’t just collectives—they’re families. They’re places where Syrian youth can express themselves freely, often for the first time.

Recognition and Respect
Murder Eyez's contributions haven’t gone unnoticed. He was named the Ambassador of Arabian Hip-Hop in the book War and Peace by the U.S. Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C. He also took 2nd place in BEIT EL HIPHOP, a major competition aired on MBC, and won Syria’s first official rap battle in 2003.

His résumé includes over 200 concerts worldwide, multiple artist mentorship initiatives, and two pioneering hip-hop movements that still inspire today.

Legacy: More Than Music
For many, Murder Eyez is more than an artist—he’s a symbol. A reminder that art can rise from ashes. That truth can come with a beat. That voices once silenced can become anthems of resistance.

Biography of Global Producer/DJ George Acosta 
All great music reaches into your very soul, captures the mind and touches the heart. It can tell a story, take you on an incredible journey and target many different types of emotions. Music such as this can only come from the hard work of a great artist, an artist such as George Acosta. With over 20+ years of experience as a DJ and Producer, George can certainly be considered a driving force in the dance music industry. He is one of the few original EDM artists that has managed to keep up with the evolution of dance music, reinventing himself and coming on stronger each and every time. 
From The Start: Born in Cuba and raised in Miami, George Acosta showed an interest in music at a very young age while watching his father play records at home and at parties. Music was definitely a staple in the Acosta household. George began his career as a local DJ in his native Miami, spinning anywhere from high school parties, to clubs on South Beach. He would spin any type of dance music, from techno to house. In the early 90’s, as his popularity on South Beach grew, and house DJ’s such as Erik Morillo and Roger Sanchez were becoming rising stars, George began gaining an interest in producing dance music. “Honestly, it was when I first heard Josh Wink that I made my decision to produce my own music,” says Acosta. A trip to Germany is where George’s creativity flourished and Planet Soul was born. Signed under Strictly Rhythm, Planet Soul gained its stardom for the well known hit, Set You Free, earning Acosta the Gold Record status. Gaining international status with the success of Planet Soul didn’t stop George from forging ahead. Once again, he returned to his roots and began DJing as the well-known George Acosta, transitioning from house to trance music. He then began his residency at the very famous Shadow Lounge on South Beach, solidifying trance not only in Miami but also in the U.S. Week after week, George mastered his craft as a trance DJ. Many of his fans say that George Acosta has an innate ability to read the crowd and know what they wanted to hear. He was also notorious for having the ability to take his audience on a wonderful, emotional roller coaster ride during their visit to the club. While at Shadow, George continued producing some of his own original work. Some of these songs were: Emotions, Taking Over Space, and The Reaper. He also released several compilations under the Ultra Records Label which included: Awake and Release AM & PM, just to name a few. Between touring around the world at popular events, such as Berlin’s Love Parade, Miami’s Ultra Music Festival and world renowned clubs such as, Space Miami, Exit, Privilege and Pacha, he continued releasing more hit compilations such as, Trance Nation America on Ministry Of Sound and The History of Trance. This is what made George Acosta a legacy in dance music.
