With his brand new ‘False Geometry EP’ we welcome Greek producer Basil O’Glue to the label. Passionate about his métier and adept in a variety of genres, ambience is an integral component in Basil's production sound as techno, deep and progressive house are closely tied to sensations ranging across the spectrum from melancholy to delight. Now interchanging these differing moods into audile form. Mogador is proud to announce Basil O’Glue's latest outing on the label with the brilliant ‘False Geometry EP’.

To start us off, Basil lets rip with the melodic soundscapes of the opening track ‘Belphegor’. Basil's influences are immediately evident as subtle freeform concepts drift through percussive inspired instrumentations. Rippling melodies trip along a deep kick that anchors an auricular montage to create a special sonic infused moment, accompanied by a subtle acid line that is going to leave a mark on your aural perception.

Next up we have the title track, 'False Geometry' a musical affirmation, unified by a relentless kick drum and dark atmospheric emotion, the track is a concoction of warm, deep bass grooves, swirling pads, textured layers and stunning effects. Clever synth phrases complete the picture and create a cleverly worked piece of art to see out a true two-track masterpiece release from Basil O’Glue.

Basil delivers a beautiful EP full of intermittent drums and electronica-soaked harmonies which come together to create a structured sphere of sonic geniality. Essential stuff! Dustin Nantais makes his long awaited return to Manual Music after delivering one of the labels' biggest releases of last year with 'Apathy'.

The Toronto based artist delivers two delightful new tracks, kicking things off with the title track 'Last Legs'. A lovely piece of blissful dance floor euphoria that sits nicely in the middle of progressive melodic house and a more bigroom kinda sound. Sure to be dropped at many festivals this summer season!

On remix duties we welcome Argentinian rising star Emi Galvan on board, after already having released material by him on our MNL label. He brings that percussion driven South American touch which we love so much, and gives 'Last Legs' a whole different feel. Groovy!

The second original is titled 'The More You Do' and is a bit deeper and moody when compared to the opening track. The infectious bassline gently takes you on yet another trip to dreamland as the strings and arpeggiators get introduced subtly along the way. Proper emo vibes here!

Always end the thing with a bang we thought, so we asked Matan Caspi to remix 'The More You Do' and the result is nothing short of stunning! The Outta Limits label boss truly delivers on of his best remixes to date here with a driving chunky percussion fueled interpretation. Proper peak time dance floor madness right here!

Two great originals by Dustin Nantais topped off by two strong interpretations by Emi Galvan and Matan Caspi. What more can one ask for?

Solid Stone’s Phenomena imprint ushers in the fall season by welcoming Luigi Gori & Larsun Hesh to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Arezzo, Italy, Luigi Gori has a long history in electronic music. Famed for his Presslab Boys moniker, his cutting edge productions found a home on Crosstown Rebels, Viva Music and Satoshi Tommie’s now defunct SAW Recordings. Now working under his given name, Luigi partnered up with German artist Larson Hesh in 2017. The duo’s creative synergy was evident immediately, with their debut collaborations finding a home on Click Records and Dear Deer. Now following a contribution to Beatfreak’s ‘Beatroom’ Vol. 2 collection, the duo make their much anticipated debut on Phenomena with ‘Gray Day’.

The duo’s journey into deep, mystical techno continues with the title track. Anchored by a hypno-infused groove and sultry rhythmic structures, it’s a piece that builds through a variety of dramatic motifs. Ethereal synths and astral effects continue to tantalize the senses as the atmosphere thickens towards the second act. A tension filled break advances the narrative with dusty sweeps and brooding overlays, before alien-like transmissions shift energy into an exhilarating conclusion. The companion piece ‘Liam’ finds the duo exploring the darker realms of their studio repertoire. It’s punchy groove is adorned with feathered sonics, firing drums and a fresh rhythmic theme which pushes the momentum forward. It’s evolving narrative builds a delicate tension as layers of percussion converge, before a series of metallic designs drops in for what should be a magic moment on a clued up dance floor.

The lone interpretation of ‘Gray Day’ is provided by STAB Virus who are also making their label debut. Hailing from South Africa, Siphe Tebeka and Makonwabe Bekwa make up the STAB Virus production duo. Upon making their debut in 2015, STAB Virus quickly landed on Suara where they were remixed by label boss Coyu. Appearances on KATERMUKKE and Senso Sounds soon followed, ultimately leading to their Phenomena debut with a cosmic techno interpretation of ‘Gray Day’. Anchored by a crunchy, rippling groove and rhythmic waves it sits as a peak time complement to the more subversive original. A tension filled break is one of many highlights, with its gloomy, cinematic flair and methodical build ending in a trail of sonic decay which ultimately sparks an electric re-entry. It rounds out a stunning Phenomena debut from Luigi Gori & Larsun Hesh, who appear to be on the cusp of big things as their creative synergy grows.

It’s unlike any of his previous works, yet carries that unmistakable Nilsen sound. 

Building at a right speed, rapidly unfolding its melodic character and kicking in right after its break. That’s what ‘Violetta’ is all about. Another tune that deserves the Armind halo on top.
