Born in Trinidad & Tobago and raised there until his family departed the small island for the busy city of Hong Kong, he was able to grow in a culture that thrives on dance music (soca, dancehall, disco). His move to Hong Kong as a teen exposed his eyes and ears to various international sounds, via record shops, thus establishing a passion point for deep house.

As the owner and A&R of his strictly vinyl imprint, Sole Aspect, Amaré will fuse his appreciation for quality sound into each release on the label and showcase his admiration and respect for the artists featured. Sole Aspect is an artist first and forward-looking label, where evolved aspects vibrate at a purer, more loving frequency and assists you as a guide on your current sole journey.

With more than a decade of record collecting, Amaré invites you to join his musical journey. After many years of honing his sound and learning the craft, 1DAN’s first release appeared in 2011 on respected UK underground deep house label; Atmospheric Existence Recordings. This was followed up by a rash of releases on the Maltese label Batti Batti with support from DJ's such as Jus-Ed, Fred P and others.

Aside from solo studio work, collaborations with Bittersuite's Jon 'Griffin' Gray have resulted in a clutch of releases under their Tales Ov Rossi guise, returning to Atmospheric Existence Recordings with the last release ‘Pieces Of A Puzzle’ marking the re-launch of UK label DeepSystems.2019 witnessed the birth of yet another pseudonym; Flank. An output for techno initially gracing the landmark Vietnamese label Pink Room Records.

When in the booth, 1DAN’s DJ style moves from blistering
techno to obscure deep house, providing listeners with unique
selections that challenge the mind and feet.

Very strange sound quality track counties.But these are all very warm sounding.
It begins and ends with ambient.The House also continues with ambience, but the pitch ups in the middle of the mix is also moderately natural and easy to ride.
In general, it is a very pleasant and gentle mix. Arigato Dan ! (Teruu)

Andy Vaz, hailing from Düsseldorf, Germany, is a musician and label manager known for his long career in the electronic music world. Starting as being the curator of “Background Recordings”, a prominent minimal techno label since 1997. The label has played a significant role in presenting and educating the world about minimal electronic music, featuring influential artists like Baby Ford, Jan Jelinek, Todd Sines, Terrence Dixon, to mention a few. Vaz also founded "A Touch of Class" to bridge global deep house and minimal techno and ”YORE”, focusing on old-school Detroit & Chicago House featuring original artists such as Rick Wade, Chez Damier and Alton Miller.

Andy started to release his own material in 2000 with the Sound Variation series, a set of 10 conceptual releases focusing on re-use and recycling of instrumentations within boundless compositional approaches. In 2011, his album "Straight Vacationing" gained critical acclaim, contributing to his success worldwide.

As a performer, Andy Vaz has been in various venues worldwide, including the legendary "Liquid Room" in Tokyo and the Mutek Festival in Mexico.
