The newest release on Pulsar Recordings is a two-part production by an artist who’s no stranger to the label: French Skies.

The first part, ‘Across the World’, is a heavenly uplifting tune that builds up steadily, with a driving bassline that rolls along towards the gradual rise of the pads, before a rapid synth jumps in and takes the listeners by surprise, all accompanied by the “aah”s of the vocals in the background.

Organically, a soft piano melody works its way in, before the sounds collapse in the breakdown, where the listeners are confronted with the beautiful sounds of nature, and the melody returns, holding the listeners’ hands and taking them on a trip around the world, across the forests and meadows and oceans, finally taking off, leaving the listeners soaring the skies.

The second part, ‘Great Ancient Sea’, is a more rhythmic and energetic track, with a punchier kick and bassline, along with a faster, happier echoing melody that runs towards the ocean and takes a deep dive, leading the listeners on a journey into the underwater world.

As the surrounding sounds die out, so too does the melody, diving deeper and deeper, before the synth takes its place and flies out of the water, gliding along the ocean.

This edition we have got a new years Special to close the year. We want to thank everyone for tuning in on the podcast show and hope you will keep listening in 2017. And last but not least all Techno Minded Heroes that provided us with great music!

Our last Techno Minded Hero of 2016 granted us with a special mix of almost 90 minutes. An excellent set with bangin techno to start 2017 fresh. This Spanish producer has releases on countless labels like Labyrinth, Naked launch, Flux, Patterns, Master Tracks, Armatura and many other. His music is supported by Dave Clarke, Ken Ishii, Ingio Kennedy to name a few. Not to forget if you are in the area of Calla Almeria, Spain go and see him play at Club The Red Flats together with big boss Zadig and Lewis Fautzi on the 5th of January 2017!

Biography
Spanish producer and DJ C-System is a talented performer with eclectic tastes who dabbles in music of all kinds, from techno to electro and everything in between. His back catalogue includes releases on countless labels, including Labrynth, Naked Lunch, Flux, Patterns, Tech on Records, Mastertraxx, Armatura and Subsequent, and his music has been supported by DJs like Dave Clarke, Ken Ishii, Inigo Kennedy, and Cristian Varela, among others .C-System is a resident DJ at Industrial Copera in his hometown of Granada. He is currently working on his label MFM Records and also Morforecs label alongside Horacio Cruz.

French Skies - Fluorescence (Original Mix) [Club Nation Records]

French Skies returns to Pulsar Recordings following the release of his single ‘Hieroglyph’, this time with an EP, entitled Calista, comprised of two original tracks and a remix.

The title track of the new release is a fast-tempo’d emotional tune that takes off with a looping melody. Slowly moving towards a drop that brings in echoing sounds, the tune eventually turns to a calm piano melody accompanied by orchestral instruments in the breakdown.

During the uplift, the melodic loop jumps back in, rapidly rising towards the skies and leading to a drop that will get the listeners pumping their feet to the beat.

Blue Tente’s take on the track is an even more emotional and uplifting version, with an underlying bass, and a sharp piano melody that leads the way from the get-go and into the melodic loop, followed by a heavily-instrumented emotional breakdown - all building a smooth journey that leads straight into an epic, mind-blowing uplift. Following the drop, the piano melody comes back in, slowing the listeners towards a calm stop.

‘Sun Dream’ is a more tension-filled track that starts with a driving bass and is slowly taken over by a synth that constantly rises and leads towards a bright, upbeat melody. This is followed by a short breakdown that slowly moves towards the climax as the synth and bass return, leading to a heavy drop, bringing back all the sounds that dance in chaotic harmony.
