Fell in love with the Roommates's sound back when they release Shaman's Journey on their debut EP back in november. Now the duo is back with minimalistic yet warm, deep and hypnotic rework of Full Reis title track taken from his forthcoming EP on Word Up. 

Word Up Records continues to serve up exciting and essential releases, this time by signing label debutant Fell Reis for this fine five tracker, ‘Cova’.

Europe based Brazilian Fell began his journey as a producer on labels like Senssual and before long found favour with DJs like Luciano, Paco Osuna and Maya Jane Coles. He has been resident DJ at places like Sankeys Ibiza as well as playing all over the island for the likes of Zoo Project and Bora Bora, and this new release is a journey inside his mind that finds him serving up psychedelic feelings, progressive melodies, techno and tech house styles.

Opening the account is ‘Cova,’ a fantastically elastic deep techno trip that has rich bass and soft shakers brushing up with colourful chords that stretch out into the night sky. It’s mind melting stuff that also has a big physical appeal. Remixing is Roommates, two “mysterious entities who met under the full moon.” Together they’ve created a musical trip which combines organic drums and soulful melodies into an airy and plaintive piece that is both emotive with lingering pianos, but also decidedly driven. 

Then comes the brain-frying ‘Divergent’, a track littered with pixelated melodies and big wooden hits. It soars into the night on a dramatic groove and explodes with colour at regular intervals, and is therefore sure to make a big impact in any set. ‘MonkDance’ then twists and turns with more turbulent drums and chattery claps. A lithe synth line runs up the middle and more great tension comes from an epic breakdown that will take clubs by storm. 

Last of all, ‘Sandstorm’ featuring Natty Fensie is an electric cut that is about big, bouncy beats, synapse firing stabs and raw claps that bring real energy to the groove. 

This is a sizzling EP filled with colourful and creative techno sounds.

Together from birth, two brothers united by their passion for music and more, Pongo is the latest sound evolution of Giovanni Bruni and Daniele Bruni. Growing up with a very similar musical culture, handed down in turn by their parents, the two brothers have always shared their art projects together. Giovanni started playing as a DJ in the early 2000s now enjoying success in the most famous clubs of the clubbing scene in Tuscany. Soon, his younger brother Daniele follows the same steps as supporting him in DJ sets and creating their first music projects together. In 2011, together with Luca L. and Elia C. founded the brand Yuma Recordings.In addition to the  label ,Yuma began to be known for the club event, Yuma Nights, and in 2013 the collective Yuma created the Vibe Club, a place that offered innovative sound in Italian nightlife. The brothers felt that they had to make their most personal productions, with which they can open up more towards a wider musical landscape.
 After a period of evolution in the studio in 2016, it's time to get back on stage for Giovanni and Daniele with their new Pongo project that takes shape with Giovanni on vocals. Their strong influences that fuses electronics, soul, and techno have created this new way of approaching the dancefloor: the combination of evocative song and a powerful and refined set.

Wie der Aphorismen interpretiert wertschätzt man die Heimat umso mehr, wenn man den Fehler gemacht hat in der ferne selbstständig sich ein neuen Lebensabschnitt aufzubauen indem man sich aber nicht im Herzen Zuhause gefühlt hat. Meiner Meinung nach ist es egal wohin du gehst, dein Herz wird immer dort bleiben, wo es glücklich war. 
D.h. als ich vor 3 ½ Jahren umgezogen war, habe ich peu à peu feststellen können wie ich Woche für Woche und Monat für Monat immer mehr Heimweh bekommen und zudem insbesondere meine Eltern und Verwanden vermisst habe. Ich konnte mich noch nicht mal richtig in dieser fremden Stadt entfalten und aufgehen. Ich war zwar immer Arbeiten, aber fühlte mich in diesem Raum quasi isoliert und Herzensleer sowie ohne Freude und Wille was zu erreichen. 
Ganz besonders vermisste ich die schöne Idylle im Wetteraukreis, wo ich in der Landschaft genau jeden Pfad kenne und wo überall die schönen Kindheitserinnerungen verknüpft sind. 
Mein Charakteristikum, Selbstbewusstsein und Seelenzustand wurde mit der Zeit immer schlimmer und das ganze erreichte nach 2 Jahren seinen Höhepunkt, bis ich eine Pro- & Kontraliste für meine Eltern schrieb, ob ich selbstständig in Oma’s Haus leben darf. Die Liste hat 15 Seiten Pro Argumente und wurde von meinen Eltern verstanden und akzeptiert.
Dann war vor kurzem der Umzug zurück in meine geliebte Heimat und fühle mich inzwischen nach dieser Entscheidung wesentlich lockerer und bin wieder sehr glücklich im Herzen meiner Heimat zu sein. 
Vorher war mir das alles nicht bewusst, wie wertvoll die Heimat ist. Dazu gehören auch die Freundschaften, Eltern, Verwandten und Geschwistern sowie die Landschaft und darin verbundenen Kindheitserinnerungen, welche ich ständig sehr vermisst hatte. Das Wort „geliebte“ Heimat und „geliebte“ Eltern und „geliebte“ Verwandtschaft habe ich vorher nie gesagt oder geschrieben, erst als ich längere Zeit in dieser ferne gewohnt habe ist mir das bewusst geworden wie sehr ich meine Heimat und Mitmenschen dort liebe!

After making his label debut only recently with a track on our fresh compilation „Radius Vol. 1" it is already about time for Adam Ten to return to Upon You Records with a fully fledged single named „Many Faces EP" which brings us two new solo tracks by the young, talented Israeli producer as well as one collaboration effort with fellow producer Mosko.

Starting with the title track „Many Faces" Tel Aviv-based Adam Ten paves the way for things to come with his distinct, stripped down TechHouse sound build upon a minimalistic approach as well as a clean, futuristic vibe paired with warm basslines, detailed build ups and a feel for unique melodic arrangements harking back to the heyday of what once was defined as Intelligent Techno, transferring this craft and style to a next level for 2019.

Joining the studio with Mosko we see Adam Ten provide „Too Much Curry", a tune that might come with cheeky name but surely is ready to touch down on dancefloors hard - and with a distinct impact. Staying true to the clean, space-influenced style of production AdamTen is known for the two producers only need a few single note piano tones and microcut sample magic to get crowds moving within seconds and cause massive shivers of joy going down every punters spine for a reason.

Finally „Wuff" brings forth a slightly different take on the Israeli's musical work. Whilst staying true to his main game in terms of highly detailed, stripped down production value this tune brings happiness and cheerful joy due to its ever moving bass synth alone which is accompanied by loads of curious little sonic fairies that turn this cut into the most uplifting piece of Minimal TechHouse you might've heard in 2019 so far.

[Liner Notes]
Vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer Bora Uzer teamed up with Mynox and Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Vander to create "Let It Breathe". Birthed on a never-ending day of February in Turkey's dynamic city of Istanbul, this piece fuses elements of electronica, deep house, and modern pop. The lush vocals of Bora convey a certain epicurism and invite us to let go and accept life.

This EP is complemented by the alternative versions of psychedelic duo Pandhora, British talent Shunus, and Volt Milano residents Sound Shapes. Pandhora crafted a progressive & melodic reshape incorporating jazzy chords and upbeat grooves. Shunus came up with a different story, slowing things down with his downtempo sound signature and a relish of western vibes. To wrap up this release, the Italian duo Sound Shapes infused their remix with deep sounds and decided to go for a tense atmosphere which suits afterhours dancefloors perfectly.
