Dedicated to Agnès Varda, one of the key figures of the french new wave, Shamin Yazdani's 'Ode to autumn' depicts the quasi-interstitial mental space of an old, abandoned woman, who ploughs through moments of her life. Despite the painful nature of her lingering moments, the old woman is represented as an assertive, life-affirming character with a spirit of giving. At the centre of the film's suggestive universe stands a colorful ball of wool, which invites the audience's active participation in the process of meaning-making, and resists the notion that it's representation can be reduced to a single correct interpretation.

"Ali" is an Iraqi boy who lives on the sale of incense, candles and rose water for visitors of the cemetery, as always, He go’s that day carrying his fund wood to sell his goods, but he was unable to sell any of it, and because he believes that going back home with the goods is a bad omen, he tries to get rid of it by his own way! His journey inside the cemetery introduces some living being complaining to their dead beloved ones.

Pigeon's Souq - سوق الحمام

Mohammad Haddad is a Bahraini composer and music critic, an active artist in the film scores of Bahraini films. He picked up the Lute and made it his major instrument until he flew to Cairo to pursue a degree in music composition and conducting at the Cairo Conservatory of Music, focusing on the Piano.
Armed by a very western Piano in one hand, and an extremely eastern Lute in the other, with enough power to bridge the gap between the two worlds of east and west, he experiments in the traditional Bahraini music, analyzes it, breaks it down, builds on it and merges it to the abstraction of contemporary forms.
Taken by the idea of composing music for the screen, he composed music for Movies and short films, Theatre, Documentaries and Animations. He also collaborated with number of other artists like sculptors, poets, actors and photographers.
Before starting his career as a music composer for films, Haddad had secured a position at the University of Bahrain as the senior music specialist at the University.
