Not sure if it's the over-commercialization of everything, but I've been thinking about edits a lot lately. I used to make a ton of them and they were fun, but as they've become more and more the standard for what gets played out, I've more or less stopped making them.

When everything is an edit, what is the point. Do we really need another version of "My Neck, My Back"? Probably not, but here's two more. I feel like 'Some Edits & Shit' might add to that problem, but for me, it's really just turning a page and leaving some things behind.

Looking back, some of these are embarrassing, and some of them are really fucking cool. There is something to be said about allowing yourself to grow as a human while understanding that it is ok to come from a place. Even if that place feels embarrassing or alien years later. Maybe there was something interesting about the time or place or just the way I threw ideas together back then.

My only regret is not making a Creed edit. Maybe next time.

It was produced by Keith Diamond and reached number 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 (behind "Careless Whisper" by George Michael)[1] as well as hitting number 20 on the soul chart,[2] and number 15 on the UK Singles Chart in February 1985.[3] It also reached the top spot of the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the U.S., in an extended version.[4] The track was released on the Jive label under the catalogue reference, JIVE 80.[3] The song was played in the first episode of the long-running BBC One medical drama Casualty on 6th September 1986.
