hey everyone, i'm glad to present to you all my first remastered track for the new era, coming in at a good time for the first day of 2020 and in for a completely new decade!

conscience was a thing that was always put to the side. i never really showed appreciation for it much, as well as all of my other self inserts except kall inuti, i'm pretty sure. but i did want to try this one first since conscience v1 was the very first on my tracks list. (yes, i'm remastering almost everything chronologically, so you can probably infer what's going to be next or not)

i do have my respects to v1 for some things, but its aging was mediocre at best mostly due to the mixing. i honestly liked the lead on it though.

now, what your main question could be is, "why is this more of a mashup/remix of a different song rather than just a regular bullet hell?" well, the reason is that i couldn't bother to touch v1's wonky composition. this was originally going to be a very original thing with the lead maintaining similarity to v1, but it died fast. then, i got to thinking. "what's a thing i used to listen to a lot that *isn't* pencil streak?"

my final answer was: marisa stole the precious thing, by iosys, based on touhou.
i never really knew my interest in it at first, but my best guesstimate was that i was searching around on youtube and found certain remixes of this particular song. i loved it.
and i guess this is probably the reason why some of you don't really think this is a bullet hell or if this track doesn't incorporate elements of a bullet hell. i just felt like mstpt fit for this, really.

and also, you're probably going to see a better image of the algid represented in this in the b-side. i just used one of the screenshots from mstpt and replicated the pose.

but anyway, stay tuned for a b-side. i think you guys will like it, maybe.
