Well I'm no expert but I can't hear what you'd want to change. Maybe it's just that you've worked on it so intensely that you no longer hear the overall sound. I find when that happens I have to leave a project completely for a week or two -not listen to it at all, then play it again with 'fresh' ears.

The incantatory slow movement of Hendrik Hofmeyr's Clarinet Sonata is in ternary form. The A section is based on a widely arched theme announced by the clarinet. The brief middle section (Poco più mosso) is more expressive in character and ends with a canonic cadenza for the two instruments, which leads to an abbreviated recapitulation of the A section, but now with canonic imitation by the piano. In the coda elements of both themes are fused into a new melody, which is again echoed by the piano.

Two days ago while I was parking my car I was listening to classical radio music. Just before turning off my car, a few notes from a piano sounded. I started walking and sang this piece in my head.

Void (piano solo)

After several pieces for solo piano, I needed to compose something with a little more instrumentation, in this case just piano and strings.
"We'll dance again" That's what this song suggested to me. A romantic theme.
