Following on from his debut EP on Drumcode earlier this year, Ilario Alicante returns with a generous 6-tracker. For the past few years Ilario Alicante has enjoyed something of an unintentional Ibiza kinship with Adam Beyer. When the Swede played his special annual sets on the Amnesia Terrace for Cocoon, for three years out of four, the Italian has been right there playing alongside him, ensuring his talents were on the radar of the Drumcode chief. Ilario made his first appearance on the label in 2016 with the stirring 'Temporary' featuring on A-Sides Vol.4, before securing his first full-length release with the 'Awakened' EP that dropped earlier this year. 'Figures & Echoes' deepens his contribution to the label with half a dozen powerful cuts. 'Virgo's Echoes' opens the EP, a persistent synth line combining effectively with lush layers of melody to create an atmospheric introduction to the work. 'Third Eye' delivers an exhilarating dose of rave thanks to the hypnotizing riff that runs throughout. 'Figure of RA' combines a rousing vocal loop, pulsating beats and an effective melodic interlude to fantastic effect. 'Acid Runner' is true to its name, with echoing vocal effects that lead to a piercing 303-line that hits with peak-time power. 'Atonal' is a late-night burner, as mesmerizing pads rub shoulders with sparse percussion to create a beautiful seven-minute piece. The package concludes with the pumping 'Leave Me', with its funky deep bass stabs, ensuring the EP maintains its energetic vibe from start to finish.

Before Berlin-based DJ Lion is about to drop his long-awaited album, we already got this first appetizer for you. His "Reticulation EP" includes two tracks of which one is part of the mentioned album, the other one is another exclusive track by one of Balkan's favorite techno pioneers.
After strong releases in the past, DJ Lion continues to live up to his listeners' ever-growing expectations. "Reticulation" is another massive statement and carries the audience away from the start. There's no doubt that the marching beat riddled with hypnotic sounds will torn every Techno floor to shreds.
The b-side "Orgulous" is an evil underground banger with tons of experimental sound fragments that create a hypnotic and invigorating ambience. An absolute no-brainer on every proper dancefloor, hands down!

Anja Schneider’s Sous imprint has fast become a permanent home for Anja’s more experimental productions as well as providing her with the chance to bring some of her favourite artists to the label. In the last two years, we have enjoyed releases from Billy Turner, Madben, Mella Dee, Fort Romeau and most recently Markus Suckut. All of which have collectively bought a diverse palette of music to Sous.

Asio (aka R-Play) is a Parisian based producer who’s career quickly became noted in 2007 after he broke into the French techno scene with his tracks signed to Harthouse, Synewave and Suara. Anja brings this new name to Sous this October with 3 original cuts on his EP ‘Dada’.  Opening things is the title track ‘Dada’. Instantly we’re drawn into a groovy deep bass track with sparse percussion. As the various layers reveal themselves, a sinister energy grows. The track then explodes into life at the drop. ‘Last Day in Space’ is a subtle tribal groove. Swinging off beat hats keep time as the layers of melody and percussion fade into earshot. A track of light and dark where patience is rewarded by a huge payoff. 

Finally, ‘Sol Sol’ employs interesting FX to the drums creating a wonky feel from the off. Once the synths kick in the wonk gets much wonkier!

Edib D was born in Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina. From his youngest days music becomes a sort of obsession and in the late 90s he had first contacts with electronic music popular back then. Soon, house and techno become the main choices of the music he is listening to and he started exploring the scene actively, showing up on gigs of well-known DJs in the country and the region.
