Here's the live recording of my breakfast set from the 2B1 gathering out in the middle of the Mojave Desert, CA. The hot sun was shining over this set from 8am-11:30am. Hope you feel some of the desert vibes from that very special morning.

This is my first collection of voices of Iranian women. It contains music produced by Iranian female singers and musicians, whose voices have been suppressed in recent years. They are forbidden from singing alone and can only sing along with men.

This is my contribution to reversing this cycle. These songs only have female singers and men -at most- just play along.

I hope you enjoy these beautiful voices and peaceful sounds as much as I do. And if you do, please share it with other friends! Of course I also welcome any feedback.

کنار هم گذاشتن این مجموعه برایم کار ساده ای نبود. روز جهانی زن در ایران مفهوم   دیگری دارد. در طول چند دهه اخیر،‌ علی رغم اینکه زنان و دختران ایران زمین پا به پای مردان در همه عرصه های مختلف اجتماعی، سیاسی و شهروندی حاضر بوده اند، ولی حقوق اولیه و طبیعی شان همچنان نادیده گرفته شده است. می دانیم که این در همیشه روی یک پاشنه نمی چرخد. ما به امید زنده ایم و برایش تلاش خواهیم کرد. 

این مجموعه تلاش دارد که بخش کوچکی از این صدا و ملودی های زیبا را کنار هم قرار دهد و لذت شنیدنش را به شما منتقل کند.  تم اصلی گزینش أهنگ ها  «امید» است و از صداهای قدیمی و فراموش شده گرفته تا شعر فروغ و ترانه های یادگار جنبش سبز و اجرای دوباره گنبد کبود را در این مجموعه خواهید شنید. امیدوارم که خوشتان بیاید.

Putting together this latest mix of tracks was an emotional experience. This time the occasion is International Women's Day. A reminder for us all, especially men, that we could do a lot better when it comes to equality,  women's rights and their place in society. 

In this mix you will hear touching women voices and melodic iranian music; sometimes assertive as well as happy ones. Some are also very nostalgic. 
An attempt to be a mirror image of Iran's women movement.

It is with great contentment that I share with you Meliorism. Origining from the Latin "melior" (better), Meliorism means: the belief that the world naturally tends to improve and that human effort can greatly aid its betterment.

This is something I believe with the true depths of my soul, and I am not the only one, nor ever was I nor ever will I be. The word might not have always existed, but, with abscense of doubt, there have always been people spread throughout the world in different times of human existence who understood deeply what it means to be human; who were meliorists themselves, without the need of a label to spread it and to live by it. Even though we might not always see it nor understand it with many of the things happening in the world scale scenario, there are many people making the world better each and every day. You are also one of these people, if you want to. It's really just up to you.

Imagine if the word imagine didn’t exist. Or, imagine if you weren’t capable of imagining at all. In all probability, @timboletti’s mix wouldn’t have been created, nor would Rambalkoshe or SoundCloud or the John Lennon song have ever come into existence. Just imagine how many super interesting things were born from pure imagination. People have imagined sitting in a garage how they are going to change our perception of computers, some others have imagined sitting at night by the fire on the shore of the ocean how one day people will spend a week in the desert to feel cut off from reality. A lot of people are imagining all kinds of things every second of the day. Some of those imaginings are lost on the spot, others are realized but they’d better not, while some others develop into what becomes Timboletti’s mix for Rambalkoshe, which was uploaded on SoundCloud mere seconds ago.

Moji expresses his love for music and dance dynamically on each floor, adapting to the different spaces he becomes part of. Each dance floor is different - the space, the people, the energy; he curates the vibe with a keen sense for these elements.

Moji comes from Northern Iran, now based in Berlin. In the past years his sound has largely propagated in the Berlin music scene. Moji is guiding us to the sounds that help us feel, the sounds that connect us to different places, ourselves, and one another.
