Forever Autumn Justin Hayward - (SynthMinx Remix)

In honor of Leon's 70th birthday, I decided to cover one of his greatest songs.

Featuring Packina and the Tape Trixies on background vocals!

Recording notes:
This was my first attempt at doing a full-blown bounce back on to 2 tracks on the 38. The basic instrumental (drums, bass, acoustic 1/2, rhythm electric) were bounced to stereo (while I played shaker live to the bounce), and the vocals, organ, tambourine, and lead guitar replaced those basic tracks for a total of 12 tracks.

There are a couple of brief spots where something went awry in the bounce and the right channel of the instrumental drops slightly. In the interest of getting this done tonight I kinda blew past those errors, but I really should be more careful next time.

Bouncing is forever, and that is really, really scary. If you have a fear of commitment, get a 2" machine.

We have noticed it doing the rounds again lately on other DJs sets and mix tapes even tho we haven't had it available for download in a few years, so we've decided to give it a little freshen up with some new drums, a bit of Moog and some extra chops and make it available for free download....ENJOY!

"Train in Vain" is a song by the British punk rock band The Clash. It was released as the third and final single from their third studio album, London Calling (1979). The song was not originally listed on the album's track listing, appearing as a hidden track at the end of the album. This was because the track was added to the record at the last minute, when the sleeve was already in production.

The Clash - Train in Vain ( GENERIC PEOPLE fix-up)

I did this back in 2011 to close my DISTRIKT set at Burning Man with just as the sun dipped down over the desert mountains. Whilst it may not sound like it, a *lot* of studio work went into rebuilding this track - I wanted to keep it's beautiful flow and organic looseness, but bolster it with extra beef and bass. 3 days later, I got there with it.
