Stoked to share our next release by this super talented duo Ironside, consisting of Amer Badi from San Fransisco aka known as Dribble and Ricardo Marques from Lisbon aka Battousai, are two respected and accomplished producers in the psytrance scene. Their collaboration began in 2021 with a psy trance track, sparking a creative connection that would eventually lead to the creation of their joint project, Ironside, in 2024.

This Ep is package of their minimalistic psytechno vision that represents their aspiration to combine their musical talents into a unique and electrifying sound. We hope you enjoy this release.

Tu t’installes devant ton écran, un café refroidissant à côté du clavier. L’envie de créer un morceau te hante depuis plusieurs jours, mais cette fois, tu es prêt. Tu ouvres ton DAW, une page vierge, et tu poses un kick. Sobre, efficace. Il résonne dans tes oreilles comme un battement de cœur, un appel à l’action.

"Le décor est posé."

Tu ajustes une basse, tu la veux profonde, enveloppante, presque inquiétante. Les premières textures apparaissent, un drone métallique, un synthé qui grince comme une machine en surchauffe. Le morceau respire.

Le lendemain, tu rouvres ton projet, prêt à l’affiner. Mais quelque chose cloche. Une intuition te frappe : ce n’est pas assez brutal, pas assez vivant. Tu détruis ta propre structure, tu refais tout.

Jour après jour, l’obsession grandit. Une idée chasse l’autre. Tu ajoutes des percussions sales, un hi-hat qui claque comme une porte métallique, un lead qui hurle sous des litres de distorsion. Tu crées, déconstruis, reconstruis, toujours en quête du son parfait.

Mais chaque avancée est un pas vers l’inconnu. Trop de détails. Trop de textures.

Un matin, tu fermes le capot du laptop avec un soupir. Stop.

Assez tergiversé. Il faut lâcher prise. Lâcher ce monstre dans la nature.

Et voici le fruit de cette graine, ce chaos organisé, ce labyrinthe sonore que tu as construit et détruit mille fois avant d’accepter de le voir naître.

🎶 Écoute et ressens le poids de chaque hésitation, de chaque fulgurance, de chaque abandon. De chaque instant. Un moment passé qui n'aura plus d'égal.

You sit in front of your screen, a cup of coffee growing cold next to your keyboard. The urge to create has been haunting you for days, but this time, you’re ready. You open your DAW—a blank canvas—and lay down a kick. Simple, effective. It resonates in your ears like a heartbeat, a call to action.

“The stage is set.”

You tweak a bassline, you want it deep, immersive, almost unsettling. The first textures emerge—a metallic drone, a synth groaning like an overheated machine. The track breathes.

The next day, you reopen your project, ready to refine it. But something feels off. A sudden realization hits: it’s not brutal enough, not alive enough. You tear apart your own structure, start over.

Day after day, the obsession grows. One idea replaces another. You add gritty percussion, a hi-hat snapping like a metal door, a lead screaming under layers of distortion. You create, deconstruct, and rebuild—always chasing that perfect sound.

But with each step forward, you wander deeper into the unknown. Too many details. Too many textures.

One morning, you close your laptop with a sigh. Stop.

Enough second-guessing. It’s time to let go. Time to unleash this monster into the wild.

And so, here it is—the fruit of this seed, this organized chaos, this sonic labyrinth you built and destroyed a thousand times before finally accepting its birth.

Seu gosto musical pelo gênero foi se moldando com o passar do tempo, tendo como referência Kliment, Xompax, Hypogeo, Kromagon, Airi, entre outros artistas focados em Progressive Dark e Psytechno.

Em 2019 o projeto MokuJem ganhou vida, grooves progressivos tornam suas músicas hipnóticas, com combinações de elementos introspectivos que fazem você entender o que uma mente criativa é capaz de transmitir em forma sonora.
