Yesterday midnight, after I got the email , I dared to sing some tracks improvising harmonies in C major.
It was fun, I did some serious Melodyne, particularly on the first basic tracks (2 of them) then two more falsetto improvisations and a 5th track using pitch shift for some extreme lows.

Primordial Couch

Many decades ago, the amazing and multifaceted David Blair spent a short while crashing in my home town before settling in Detroit. At the time, he was just learning the basics of guitar. His innate musicianship and poetic prowess took us all by surprise. Even he was a little wowed. Digging through my stuff recently, I found a boom-box recording of a song of his from then. The cassette is labeled only “David Blair”, but the lyric “My One True Companion” stands out as a good choice for a title. His life cut terribly short, I was thinking it would be lovely tribute if people made remixes and reworks of this fantastic and almost-lost track. Please let me know if you decide to participate. Be creative, respectful and have fun! I’ll make a playlist of all the takes. Thanks!
