Faith, love, courage and hope are the greatest powers that are inherent in every human being. These powers originate from the human heart.
Years ago, the composer stumbled across the story of a man who takes care of abandoned, terminally ill children: Mohamed Bzeek. His selfless actions not only touched me deeply, but also showed me how big the heart of every human being can be and how valuable the four powers of faith, love, courage and hope are. With Chambers of a Heart, a suite in four movements, I want to inspire everyone to rediscover and strengthen these powers in their own hearts. Mohamed Bzeeks words: You have to do it from your heart, really.

The Wild Hare is a composition with a story within a story. It tells the cause and course of the Second World War and focusses on the personal story of the crew of the American B17 bomber The Wild Hare. During a mission over Germany, the aircraft is hit. Crippled, it crashes on the way back in the Netherlands. Only one crew member manages to stay out of the enemy’s hands.

How to Train Your Dragon
The music from How to Train Your Dragon by composer John Powell is possibly the best film score in the last ten years. This beautiful animation film is sublimely supported by this music. Including the titles: This is Berk, The Downed Dragon, See You Tomorrow, Romantic Flight, Battling the Green Death and Coming Back Around, this is a spectacular selection for both Harmony and Fanfare Band. This will be a joy for the band to play!

The "Suite for Wind Orchestra" has three parts. The introductory "Symphonic Movement" is based on two opposite musical ideas. The first is chromatic, whereas the second is rather diatonically harmonized. The "Nocturne" or second part is contrasting with the preceding part and is written in the minor key. The quiet atmosphere at the end of the "Nocturne" is abruptly interrupted by the "Toccata". This part, a "Vivace", leading into a "Presto" at the end, has a wild, passionate character.
