From the collective brain of Craig Smith & Saleem Andrew McGroarty comes a new 'live' outfit called Sound Signals.

Together with keyboardist Stevie Christie, bass-man Cameron Bradley and percussionist Paulo Riddle they served up a deep, warm and jazzy basement house workout. 

In order to increase the musical value we got something special on this version.  Here Craig teams up with his Scottish soul brother Ricky Reid for a remix under their Soul Renegades moniker with a big-stringed late night house fanfare. It kinda reminds us of those tasteful and melodic deep house productions coming out of Italy in the mid/late 90's...think Don Carlos :)

The second EP is brought to you by Frikardo including an incredible and sublime remix by Hotmood, master of laid-back disco and cosmic funk groove.
This 4 track EP is a representation of Frikardo’s rugged and robust sampling style which translates to 4 diverse tracks with moods that range from Deep House like in the tracks “Stay for change” and “Flaw” to funky, even jazzy house tracks “Trubfunk” and Hotmood’s remix of “Stay For Change”.
By comparing the original track “Stay for change” with its remix, listeners are caught off guard and can find themselves confused and thinking: “Is the remix actually the original?!”
The original idea also started with a jazzy vibe, but at one point in the creative process, through bursts of creativity by tweaking effects and clever sound design the jazzy cut turned into a floating piano loop that pulsates under a Staby tech bassline with tight and snappy drums. Magnificent vocal cuts introduce changes in the energy and spirit of the song sections. 
Hotmood, therefore, did his duty perfectly and did justice to his reputation.
Listeners will appreciate his masterful skill when they hear how he twists jazzy sample chunks into a spicy Latino Jazz House cut.
This is why Hotmood is a master of adding sophisticated touches that incorporate many genres like Disco, Jazz, and Latino. But don’t take my word for it. Have a listen yourself. _Fri By Frikardo

Back from a hot summer we are presenting you this great new release by Steve Mill who truly captures the sun and warmth in these new jams for us. The Greek born artist who lives between Berlin and Thessaloniki just released his “The Mistake EP” on Tensnake’s own True Romance label where we could already hear his soulful and groovey disco infused sound.

The opener “Love Attack” is a real “good times” tune with catchy vocal snips and a bad ass funky arpeggio bass line topped with spaced out strings and pads, this one reminds us a lot of Krystal Klear material and our own Lorenz Rhode. Saying that, we of course could not think of anyone better than him to take on this tune and drawing the inspiration to create his own super funked up version! As always all parts are played and recorded live in his Cologne studio with the same hot summer vibes on this one as well! You can find the vox version on vinyl and an instrumental as bonus digital track to get your party really started. On repeat!

“Make Me Feel” featuring the Berlin based vocalist Tee Amara has disco flavors all over it and is just an irresistible house tune, majestic and soulful. Followed by the slow and developing “Next to You” that’s steadily building towards a crescendo “heaven” gem, much in the tradition of disco edits from back in the 80’s. It reminded us a lot of our old Ben La Desh records we put out some good 10 years ago. Maybe this one is our personal fave, for sure a tune you could drop on any floor: disco, electro or house.

Get in the groove with Steve and Lorenz and let us surprise you with a truly funky, groovey and above all positive vibes only release to reminiscent the summer time. Enjoy!
