When I first heard this piece by Hang Massive I instantly heard subtle trap grooves flowing in and around their beautiful Hand Pan melodies. This was mid-winter 2021 Melbourne lockdown. In my morning mycelium walks, the sun kisses my skin and blesses me with its warmth.

Music bloomed hope in me for the Sun's Rays to once again shine on humanity as it passed through its darkest passage of the pandemic. And so it seems fitting now as we move on beyond the most challenging parts of the pandemic, for this sunlight to shine for you with its release.

Warmth of the Suns Rays (Bass Love Remix)

This is a deep house mix of "Olorum" from the Earth Keepers EP, by Shaman's Dream, Poranguí, Eric Zang & Geometrae.

Having experienced a handful of live Porangui sets, my aim with this remix was to capture the "live energy" that I have felt at peaks in attendance of these shows - that musical space creates a magical, deep, ecstatic, tribal, and harmonic feeling. 

To me, this track is the ultimate deep house and tribal fusion. The live percussion, sweet guitar solos, and punchy electronic drums really create a solid environment within the walls of this song.

Olorum (Momentology Deep House Mix)

This set was originally played on Aug 11th, 2022 for StarTribe at Pack Square in downtown Asheville, NC. As storm clouds passed through we were blasted with both intense sunlight and darkness. Fitting since this set is all about the presence of light and dark, and my attempt to bring them together in harmony. 

This set contains explicit lyrics, and is meant to touch upon all of the emotional cords. If you're going to go into it, just be prepared for a fully-on journey.

A few days after my performance I went back and reworked a few areas, some songs changed, some were added to the end to soften the landing into something more smooth and integrative.

Also want to say, I think this is one of my best sets, it's definitely my current favorite. It shows a lot of my growth in my transitions with a lot more "mash-up" style mixes. Always learning and growing. I did f*ck up one of the mixes, but hey, I'm only human. Mistakes aside, it feels good when artistic progress becomes noticeable. Enjoy.

Momentology is the multi-genre electronic music project of producer/performer Patrick Kiebzak. Blending rich layers of organic soundscapes and punchy beats, paired with live instrumentation. The Momentology experience dances in the space between an improvisational jam band and a classic DJ. Genres explored include deep house, downtempo, blissful bass, and much more. 

As Momentology, Patrick has performed at festivals and events around the US, sharing stages with DJ’s and producers Random Rab, Desert Dwellers, Equanimous, Bluetech, The Human Experience, DJ Taz Rashid, and more.
