This album should really be called - Bus, Ship, Ship, and Plane.

I wish I could make up magnificent tales about where the trax come from but honestly the stories are good enough as is.


All 4 of these numbers were written on different forms of transport over the first 6 weeks of Glen's Temporary Retirement.
Each form of transport elicited a different feeling and the spirit of each vessel was captured via music as it transported me
cross-continental/cross-country/cross-sea and cross-city.

Reformed Society joins the roster of Brussel’s, Belgium’s Basic Moves this June with a 2x12’’ EP, comprising six original compositions from the New Delhi born now Barcelona based artist.

After developing a friendship and sharing music in recent years, Basic Moves boss Walrus welcomes Indian artist Harsh Puri onto the imprint for a special double pack vinyl release. The material was gradually reduced down to the six compositions that make up BM19 after received over a hundred demo tracks from Harsh the past few years. Much of the release is inspired by UK tech house of the late nineties and the turn of the millennium and embraces a heads down, dance floor focused aesthetic throughout.

Opening the release is ‘Constant State Of Hustle’, perfectly setting the tone with an amalgamation of bubbling synthesizer tones, a choppy bass groove, sporadic pads and a heavily swung drum groove. ‘Touch’ then shifts focus over to fluttering stab sequences, bright chords, airy strings and a crunchy rhythm section before ‘Hammer The Keys’ embraces the core essence of the early Tech House sound, fusing organic percussion with multilayered machine funk melodies, all infused with an underlying acid feel.

Next up is ‘Hug Pit’ which dives into deep realms via ethereal, cinematic pad textures, wandering resonant synth lines and shuffled drums. The aptly named ‘Adrenaline Rush’ follows next, picking up the pace again courtesy of a gnarly bass melody, squelchy synth tones and a robust drum machine workout. ‘Dream Shuttle’ then rounds out the release, employing hazy atmospheric textures and a bumpy bass groove alongside dynamic, crisp drums.

Emerging London bass prodigy City Kudu unveils his new sprawling four-track vinyl EP Kyana, heading for release on fresh Manchester-born imprint Access Memory on July 7th.

With this enigmatic EP, the hotly tipped producer dives into previously unknown sonic depths; coupling deep and cathartic bass frequencies with intricate percussive rhythms to make the mind and body wander freely. We are dropped into a fully fleshed-out textural world of snapping metallic snares, rolling basslines and distant whispers… heavy-weight tunes that take you out of your head and into your body.

PREMIERE: City Kudu - Airful Hands [Access Memory]

For it's 46th outing, Klasse Wrecks recruits the Brooklyn based producer Gee Dee to it's ranks. Gee Dee aka Greg Droggitis turns in a wonderful and fully fledged collection of tracks that burst to the brim with atmosphere and sunny vibrations. True to the label's ethos, the music is as always, hard to pin down under one specific genre but instead slyly calls on various classic House, Electro and Acid tropes. The overall sound is one that is both universal and transcendent, feeling familiar but still surprising. 'Dream In Colour' is indeed an apt title for the EP as it spans the musical spectrum and is a lucid and vivid trip into the imagination of this new and exciting producer.

PREMIERE: Huberman - Perception [STRAIN]

Jikasei” - en japonais, “Fait Maison”, constitue le premier EP de la collaboration entre Ray Mason Abe et C4stillo. RMA grandit à Paris et C4stillo, d’origine colombienne et japonaise, grandit à Singapour. Leurs destins convergent en Suisse où ils partagent leurs premières sessions de production. Après plusieurs années, et une maturation artistique aboutissante, RMA compose plusieurs morceaux et demande à C4stillo d’intervenir sur la production rythmique et la direction artistique, donnant naissance à Jikasei. L’album est produit entièrement en home studio, et ses couleurs musicales invoquent un univers visuel qui renvoie aux origines japonaises de C4stillo et l’héritage français du duo. Jazz, Deep House, Funk et Electronica fusionnent pour un voyage musical introspectif mais efficace, planant mais dansant, triste et joyeux à la fois dans un décor harmonique complexe. 

Just Wanna Dance est la version instrumentale du morceau éponyme sorti en Janvier 2023. La nouvelle version est plus énergique, comporte des éléments rythmiques plus rebondissants et un arrangement qui mêle piano house, synthétiseurs électrisants, ligne de basse funk pour un résultat French Touch marqué par l’exotisme.
