Electro

Made while living in a van this spring around the cold mountainside of Albania. Belong is one of the sketches I made ( now fully produced) while travelling europe last year. I tried remembering the places I have visited with compositions surrounded by nature, recording foley & exploring synthesis. Belong is melancholic and warm with organic drums & sounds and vocal harmonies filling the space. It's about how I felt not belonging to a urban world anymore while experiencing such beautiful nature and rugged terrain.

Les Abeilles - Monkyman Edit

After he was already represented on our last compilation and is also involved in some current remix projects with us, we are particularly pleased to be able to present the new EP by @sydkasd on our label today, which has the catchy title "Snakes and Ladders".

The saying Snakes and Ladders refers to situations in which people or events appear to go forward and backward, seemingly at random. Everyone can relate to this feeling and knows that life can sometimes feel like an endless loop of recurring experiences. It is all the more important to switch off your head from time to time and simply go with the flow of the moment.

Sydka's EP provides the perfect soundtrack for this vibe. The two originals, which come with his unmistakably groovy and detailed sound, are rounded off by three diverse remixes by @glenn_shaw, @flave-uc and @kon-faber, which all give the original a unique twist. 

We are very happy that the EP has finally seen the light of day and want to thank all the artists involved for their great work, as well as Haunted Water for the smooth mastering and Kilian Van de Water for the harmonious artwork.

For me, forgiveness is a tool for healing. 
A special aspect of it for me has been the realisation that you cannot apologise, you can only ask for forgiveness. 
On the other hand, you can forgive another person, even though they may not be at the point where they see the need to ask for forgiveness. 
In any case, this topic has been very much on my mind over the last few years, as I have felt an intrinsic urge to process experiences and clear up ambiguities and hurts. 
It was absolutely fascinating to experience first-hand how dead ends have turned into open roads and peace has come in where chaos and negativity were predominant before. 
I dedicated the song to this and enriched it with a mixture of melancholy and hope, which accompanied me in moments of dealing with the topic. 
I think it fits well into the current season, with the days getting shorter and shorter, the year coming to an end, which is also the beginning of a new one. 
As I can only encourage you to listen to the song ^^, I can also recommend the topic of forgiveness to you. 
Maybe there is someone who would be happy about a reconciliation or apology. 
If I can contribute even 1%, that would be more than wonderful.
