Dharma is a key concept in the Indian religions. The term dharma is held as an untranslatable into English (or other European languages); it is understood to refer to behaviours which are in harmony with the “order and custom” that sustains life; “virtue”, righteousness or “religious and moral duties”. The antonym of dharma is adharma.

The concept of dharma was in use in the historical Vedic religion (1500–500 BCE), and its meaning and conceptual scope has evolved over several millennia. In Hinduism, dharma denotes behaviours that are considered to be in accord with Ṛta—the “order and custom” that makes life and universe possible. This includes duties, rights, laws, conduct, virtues and “right way of living”. Dharma is believed to have a transtemporal validity, and is one of the Puruṣārtha.

Luca Musto, the Berlin-based producer—known for blending the grit of jazz, the aching soul of blues, and the warmth of downtempo grooves and house—has found a new edge. This EP isn’t just slow-house with hypnotizing melodies; it’s Luca stepping out of his comfort zone, ripping through the seams of downtempo safety nets and into the uncharted waters of a career’s next level. It’s bold. It’s raw. It’s the sound of an artist refusing to stand still.
“I worked on these tracks early in 2024,” Luca says, “and spent the summer road-testing them across Europe—clubs, festivals, wherever the music could speak. The feedback shaped the final version of each song, turning good ideas into great ones.” You can hear it in the details. Each beat is a story. Each melody, a confession.

Luca has graced Moodfamily before, with standout releases and unforgettable appearances on compilations, always hitting the sweet spot.
