Fun little story to go with this track, I actually was free styling one day just practicing and messing around when I loaded the wrong track to transition out of blood on me. I was about 2 beats from the drop before I had realized what I’d done but decided to send it anyways and the result was very similar to what you here in this mashup now. I was ecstatic!!! I left this track recorded with only Blood on me and Lost in translation for about 2 months!!! I kept listening back but just felt like I could do more on the back half of the mash up. One day while my liked playlist￼￼￼￼￼￼ was on shuffle Lost in translation started playing, at this point I had almost forgotten about the mashup. As I got into the back half of lost in translation I started humming the melody to Hex by rezz over the top and everything clicked! There was one more issue I had though, at the time I couldn’t remember the name of the track I was humming over the top. This led me to about a whole day of looking￼￼￼ for this melody that so obviously is a Rezz track at least one would think but I was convinced it was from a 1788L track it was not until I explained my issue to my roommate That he informed me the tune I was poorly humming to him sounded like a Rezz song￼￼￼￼￼. From there I took to Space Moms discography to find my missing track! Once I found the song I was looking for (Hex) I pulled up the mashup and started back on the project I almost abandoned 2 months prior. When I was mixing with the original version of Hex The song still felt empty once the drum and bass beat from lost in translation transitioned out. So I went back to the drawing board but with some direction this time! It only took looking through a few remixes of hacks before I found Reapers remix. Not only did this remix have the melody of Hex I was looking for but it was also a drum and bass remix of the song. Sometimes we make mistakes but when viewed under the correct lens￼ you may see something amazing! ￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼
