Into The Abyss #020 | Kontinum

Initially inspired by the subcultural scene of his hometown of Lübeck, the young artist was strongly influenced by the predominant sound of the Leipzig techno scene. Especially the infamous Institut fuer Zukunft and its hypnotic and dissociative sound significantly formed his
distinctive style and quickly paved his way into the local scene.
Over the years his sonic palette grew and now reaches from soothing ambient and downtempo to dark and dissociative contemporary techno.

In 2017 Kontinum co-founded the collective Nebula and, after organising their first raves, the collective quickly found its way into Leipzig's club scene and managed to establish its own event series at Institut fuer Zukunft.

In addition to managing most of Nebula's musical affairs, Kontinum continues to steadily enhance his own remarkable sound which can already be listened to on his releases on labels such as The Gods Planet, Lowless and Agos.

For the second hour, she has invited an artist coming from Leipzig - @kontinum, who contributed a live mix including only his original works. On this show, you could also hear the remix he did for Klara - The Desert Of Dream track, coming soon on Circular Limited. 

Guest Bio: 
Jonas, who grew up in the far north of Germany, moved to Leipzig after
20 years of wind and rain. There he was quickly inspired by the
prevailing sounds of the Institut fuer Zukunft and finally started the
Kontinum project in 2016 with a focus on atmospheric and dissociative
Techno. Over the years, the palette of sounds grew and now ranges from
ambient to deep techno to contemporary club-oriented techno.

In 2017, he founded the Nebula collective with a couple of friends and
started hosting the first illegal events. In the course of time, Nebula
has also found its way into the Leipzig club scene and is now an
integral part of it.

Over the years, Jonas has continued to develop and perfect his own sound
and has had the chance to release on labels such as The Gods Planet,
Lowless and Circular Limited.

Since 2021, he has the privilege of being a resident at Institut fuer
Zukunft.

The twisty road meanders through a silky smooth fog, hugged by the walls of a mountain range both left and right. Vapory, humid air fills the lungs, and the vision clears just in time to behold the awe-inspiring turquoise eye. Hazy sunshine lits peaks and valleys surrounding this ethereal and sacred lakelet. Wave after wave after wave, hypnotising chanting reiterates, reaching deeper still. Follow the sound to find a daffodil meadow – an exit from the inner Labyrinthine.

Poland born and London based Szymon aka @labyrinthinee is a purveyor of deep, hypnotic techno. His music is curated to generate a powerful mood on the dancefloor, offering a dark journey through ominous rhythms, subtle melodies, and cosmic auras.

Beka Zakradze aka Petit Astronaute is a Georgian artist who has been developing his style since 2010 paving a trademark hypnotic sound with euphoric elements.
A regular in Georgian electronic scene, you can easily catch him in Tbilisi, Batumi or Kutasi, where he is resident at BUDE club and the artistic director of the newborn label of the club, BUDE Records.
But Beka also crossed borders making his debuts in Berlin, Barcelona, Sofia and Baku.
He boasts a prolific discography with a wide variety of releases across some of the finest deep techno imprints around the globe.
Beka is member of the labels BAHN· Records and Khoros, but his productions have also been released in labels such as Circular Limited, Aarden Records, DNC Limited, NFEREE, Ordinamento Selettivo, Artscope, Space Textures or Postdynamic.

About two years ago we had our first episode of the Navigare Audio podcast and 24 chapters in we're humbled to see how it's living its own kinda life, with beautiful contributions from friends and friends to be. Such gifted artists, producers and djs who're willing to give. Thank you.

French producer Clarence Rise has developed a strong, intense and singular musical identity, where incisive techno meets the icy atmospheres of coldwave. Some people characterize his work as Cinematic or Cold Techno, with a strong focus on complex rhythms, dark sound design and contemplative melancholy.
