Ludwik Zamenhof is a one-man musical project and the alter ego of Polish-based producer Andrzej. The music on his new album, Balkan Error, is created using a mandolin and a computer. All recordings and samples are destroyed and deconstructed. Ludwik Zamenhof is inspired by Bulgarian, Polish, Balkan, Indian and Syrian music. Folk and Ethno samples are mixed with new electronic music such as Dubstep, Drum and Bass, IDM, Breakcore and Glitch Music.

Annick, Pascale, Mounia, Laurence sont agentes d’accueil et de surveillance au LAAC (Lieu d'art et action contemporaine) de Dunkerque. Chaque jour, elles orientent le public, veillent sur les œuvres et participent à l'organisation des événements qui ont lieu dans le musée. Toutes ont une cinquantaine d'années. Elles ont été reclassées ici suite à des maladies professionnelles, après de longues carrières en tant qu'ATSEM dans les écoles, agentes dans les cantines scolaires ou salariées des piscines municipales. Quand il y a peu de monde, elles se regroupent et discutent devant les salles d'exposition. Elles se soutiennent, se donnent de la force et rient beaucoup.

Brooklyn-native Esseks delivers the full length “Bad Cartoons”, his second album this year via Gravitas Music, for free/pay-what-you-want download. After a previous collaborative release on Gravitas with the king of weird, Space Jesus, Esseks’ personal style has ample room to flex this time around on each of the nine tracks. The old school hip hop influences are obvious throughout; the swing of each beat drips with classic style, mixing flawlessly with twisted melodies and rolling bass. Apart from being a talented musician and beat-smith, Esseks also created the cover art as well as a PDF booklet of “bad cartoon” illustrations included with each album download.

“On The Dial” kicks the release off with a quick pace and experimental percussion. Called “equally silly and melancholy” by The Untz, “Overrated” shows us the more fun side of Esseks’ songwriting. The title track hit hards and fast, focusing on a multi octave, diminished progression. Like the name suggests, “Bowzer” does elicit nostalgia for the video games of yesterday, albeit in somewhat of a creepy yet psychedelic fashion. “If I Could” demonstrates the artists’ more loungey sensibilities, with “Yougotme” following closely behind with a chopped vocals and a smooth bassline.

After working for twenty years with some amazing artists from all over the world, Monkey Records is no longer accepting any new artist submissions and Braddock is now focused on releasing his own music. Projects include his solo work as Broad Oak and Choam Nomsky as well as collaborations such as The Mung Beings, The Tellurians and Cosmo and the Cosmonaut (with his own son).
