I wrote these lyrics many years ago...when I needed to get out of the house...I said goodbye to my sweet dog Luna...I told her she couldn't come...dad just needs to go to a tavern and get a beer and clear his head. So on that night I went straight to the Space Room on Hawthorne...wrote the first half of this song...and then crossed the street and finished scrawling this little ditty on the back of a promotional taxi cab note pad...comfy in a dark booth at The Bar of the Gods. 

Much respect to all the excellent bartenders of the world and the wacky writers who scribble poems on napkins all the while. And by the way, the next round is on me. peace, Ian d-_-b
