Singer, songwriter, musician.  Plays keyboard, guitar and bass.  Played in bands and written songs for years and has finally started to record some of the 100s of songs he has written and continues to write. I have finally started to work with other musicians.  I have a soon to be released album "Brand New Day" upon which Andrew "Wonder" Dornoff and Emily Shaieb collaborated and added their talents to put these tunes over the top.

Musically and geographically, Finnish guitarist and songwriter Robin Pahlman has traveled thousands of miles since he recorded and toured with his band Agent Kooper in the early 2000s. Robin started writing songs for a solo album in Seattle, WA, recorded his debut lo-fi acoustic EP in his tiny home studio in Vienna, Austria, toured all over Europe, and wrote and produced his first full-length album “Temporary Everything” in New York City. 

“For this album, I wanted to play more guitar”, Robin says. “I wanted to focus more on guitar arrangements than before, and layer acoustic and electric guitars and some synths in order to create spacey and dreamy textures and moods. For demos, I would start out with a basic drum pattern, loop it, and just layer stuff upon it. In the studio, we recorded the basic tracks live with a band, but for some songs, I still wanted to maintain a certain static vibe in the rhythm section.“ 

“Lyrically, I wanted to acknowledge the bittersweet feeling of nostalgia that I recognize in my friends and myself, as many of us now have entered our 30s.” 

“Originally, it was a person’s attempt to resist nostalgia altogether. However, as the theme developed, it turned into a process of recognizing and owning your own past without getting too sentimental about it – as opposed to adopting the nostalgia of your parents’ generation, which I think is a very present force in literature, film, music, and (political) culture in general.” 

In his music, Robin draws from a wide range of influences, such as dream pop, krautrock, americana, psych rock, country, and folk. As always, melody and mood are important ingredients in Robin’s songwriting. 

Robin Pahlman lives in Brooklyn, NY, where he writes music, plays shows, and serves as guitarist with rock band Howth. His new album “Temporary Everything” was released in March 2016.

We are The Night, and we are probably procrastinating right now, but when we aren't we'll be writing music that makes us proud to share it with you. Loud, bombastic and gritty, we’re an Australian 6 piece that can’t decide whether we’re post pop, post rock or just post now.

The Vienna-based duo Carmen & The Devil started out as an attempt to explore the musical and lyrical landscapes of American singer-songwriter Gillian Welch. Since their first show in late 2010, the duo's repertoire has expanded to include original numbers and music of various artists and songwriters, such as Hank Williams, Bob Dylan, Holly Golightly, Alison Krauss, Kasey Chambers, and The White Stripes. Carmen & The Devil like the American old time lonesome sound with emphasis on vocal harmonies, and accompany themselves on acoustic instruments, such as guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin.

Hi, thanks for looking. I'm a classical violinist, currently in the Covent Garden Chamber Orchestra here in London. Three years ago I picked up the guitar and started learning, and then got interested in all the aspects of constructing songs - writing, producing etc. etc.

A Loving Light is the artist name of Bradley Lake.  This page was formerly known as Outsidetheboxdetroit when the page was more of a band, but now it is mainly Bradley on his own occasionally working with Zeek the Freak. Outsidetheboxdetroit started 9 years ago in 2011 and the songs will remain.  Together we've derived a collection of tracks with a soul purpose of waking up the masses and creating enlightenment.
