A lot has changed since we released Trapdoor Volume One over a year & a half ago, especially within electronic music. Although the Trapdoor blog was humbly built on the foundations of the loosely defined ‘Trap’ genre, Trapdoor Records was established to expand and nurture exciting music that can’t necessarily be bound by a genre tag. 150,000 + followers later & we are still spending countless hours listening to music from across the world as we ultimately want to promote a wider range of music inspired by one key characteristic; A desire to evolve.

Dailon - Your Time, Your Love

Rough Sketches’ is a continuous journey through a typical session between Warren Xclnce and Reiss G. The London based duo have been collaborating for the best part of two years progressing their sound design from hard hitting beat-work to down-tempo and experimental electronica. 

This project sees both their influences and styles amalgamated into a 25 min uninterrupted continuous–play session which began as a drafted beat tape but has since developed into something more unique featuring world recordings, local inspiration, vocal features and elaborate sound design. 

Reiss and Warren are currently undergoing a creative transition as a collaborative entity so expect a few projects in the near future as they develop their sound and both continue to work on their own respective solo projects.

The last couple of years have been huge for Pomo, going from a relatively obscure Canadian producer to releasing his debut EP on HW&W, remixing for the likes of Janet Jackson and Mark Ronson, producing “Am I Wrong?” on Anderson Paak’s debt album and touring the globe with Disclosure as their opening act.

An azimuth (Listeni/ˈæzɪməθ/) (from Arabic "السَّمْت" as-sumūt, meaning "the directions") is an angular measurement in a spherical coordinate system. The vector from an observer (origin) to a point of interest is projected perpendicularly onto a reference plane; the angle between the projected vector and a reference vector on the reference plane is called the azimuth.

An example is the position of a star in the sky. The star is the point of interest, the reference plane is the horizon or the surface of the sea, and the reference vector points north. The azimuth is the angle between the north vector and the perpendicular projection of the star down onto the horizon.

No. 17 in the series..It's been a rather tumultuous period in world affairs right now, but fundamentally, I believe in the innate power of music to heal and bridge differences. Categories, race, language etc are irrelevant in the universe of music, and we are all built of the same DNA. 
I started with some deeper jazz selections before blending into the beats and mid-tempo house territories. Stay conscious and love one another.
