Solid Steel in association with Serato (28th August) In Hour 2 we welcome back Kelpe to Solid Steel, after his last appearance back in 2012. He's celebrating the release of his 5th album 'The Curved Line' which is out this week on his own Drut imprint. Music on offer from Milyoo, Drew Gragg, Delroy Edwards and Koehler & Kuno in his mix and he had this to say;   

"Opening with a track from the beautiful new album by CFCF, this is a selection of the more mellow end of stuff I've been playing out recently, with plenty of kick drums and a track off my new LP thrown in for good measure. I guess I think of it of of a bit of a warm up set - I actually really enjoy playing in a club at that early, potent, time of night - playing to people filing into an empty room and watching the atmosphere build."

Arapaima's debut EP, "Sun Key" comes to an end with its second part. After its more bass-heavy precursor, this one showcases a softer, yet still quirky sound deeply enrooted in either oldschool house or r&b. 

"Sun Key" is the English interpretation of the Romanian term (sanky) for 'syke', a half passionate, half tongue-in-cheek attitude towards or regarding something. With a mixture of witty edits of older club classics and his soothingly intense trademark sound, Arapaima gives everyone a glimpse into his artistry and general demeanor. 

Having a side-job in the local scene's pop music production, Robert emphasizes his versatility and sense of genre-borderless appeal through his output on Origami Sound.
