FunkCat Brown is an other-dimensional multi-instrumental singer-songwriter and producer currently based in San Diego, California. He was born as an alien-hybrid out of a top-secret government experiment during the late 60s and early 70s and therefore has a true Mothership Connection. It is believed that this is where he first got the funk in his DNA. His father is an accomplished jazz composer and bass player and his mother, a hippie, who both exposed him to a wide variety of music while he was growing up in Austin, TX. As a kid, he worked for Dr. J. Allen Hynek, a leading UFO expert, and that is where he learned that aliens do exist and that the mothership is real. He has quietly been sharpening his skills and has written over 300 songs and performed several times over the years and has a wide variety of influences. With all of his experience and ability to produce, write, play guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and sing, the forthcoming debut album should prove to be very fun and funky.

In today’s realm of manufactured thoughts and music that seem unnecessarily destructive, it makes one wonder … where did all the musicians go? But if you are a true consumer of sound, you might have been blessed to experience the “Organic Medlies” of Trazel. This appropriately titled debut solo project was released in 2003 and when it hit the streets, became an underground favorite! Full of inspiration and gritty truth, received national recognition when DJ’s put it in the airwaves and had folks checking for this rapper / producer who influences include, Stevie Wonder, Louis Armstrong, Dj Quik and Dr. Dre just to name a few. He then followed up in 2012 with his independent sophomore project titled "The Gig Stick" which is still buzzing and getting spins on various radio stations. Trazel is currently finishing final touches on his junior project titled "Holdin Notes" soon to be released on Chart One Entertainment. The first single "That Dress" is a funky hybrid classy track that can make you move even if you don't want to. That is a track you will actually have fun listening to. As an artist/producer Trazel's ultimate goal is to produce and collaborate with international artist and leave a thumbprint on the industry.
