I wanted to capture the feel of a panzer run in Jon William's Hardwired. The joy of pure speed contrasted with the need to potentially defend yourself from other people who just want the cargo you have.

I wanted to write a hopeful, spacey jam this week, and I ended up going hyperliteral with it. The Apollo-Soyuz mission was the first international space mission and required major cooperation between the US and the USSR to develop a universal docking system to allow their two capsules to connect. It was also the mission that finally saw Deke Slayton break orbit after being grounded from the Mercury program due to a heart arrhythmia. 

I used a handful of sounds and conversation from the official flight audio of the mission. Hopefully this captures some of that... tension/anxiety/excitement I was going for, and then the exhilaration of not only the technical accomplishment of their success, but the border and ideology crossing these men made to progress human space flight.

more work on the live techmo machine.

this is a sane length, but the patch has enough movement that with just a little steering I get lost in it for quite a while. 

everything starts from a single generated mono sequence. that gets turned into chords that feed the pads, lowest note is fed to the basses, and the shimmery arp just runs over the whole thing.
