New York and Los Angeles Team Supreme representatives Colta, and Patrick Brian join forces as VARSITY on the latest offering from Terrorhythm Recordings.

With a nod to the syncopated rhythms of early grime productions synonymous with Terrorhythm's humble beginnings, Varsity deliver two heavy hitting tracks in the shape of Grunt and Lingerer Dub.

First up is Grunt, an eerie, choppy intro invites you in before welcoming you to sit down and be serenaded by the bass and the haunting vocal groans throughout the duration of the track.

Following closely behind is the onslaugh of Lingerer Dub, resembling much of the swagger of early 2000's grime and 8 bar productions, this one is a true nod to the past with bass fit to give even the most capable sound systems a run for their money.

Two absolute darkside smashers from Terrorhythm here, and boy it’s great to hear some darker, fresher riddims coming from Plastician’s label, this one from Team Supreme member Colta, who teams up with Patrick Brian to conspire as Varsity. Grunt is a syncopated, future gazing rolling number whilst Lingerer Dub barely conceals the shanks and leng, getting all up in yo face like a Limehouse vs Bow E3 beef battle.

This holiday season we've decided to do something a bit different. Finding ourselves with a backlog of remixes, refixes, edits, and various other forms of reworks, we decided to center our holiday release around this concept. Featuring the usual crew you'd expect from a 4D release, alongside a few new faces, one thing stands common between the artists on this release, regardless of continent, style, and popularity status: they've certainly done something exciting and special with the tunes they worked with. With British producers remixing American artists, American producers refixing British artists, a certain Brazilian producer reworking Waka Flocka Flame, and German and Russian producers doing what they do best, this release reaches beyond any set guideline of genre, texture, and at some points, seriousness, to deliver something we hope can be enjoyed the world over.

2014 was a good- yet slow- year for us here at 4D. Expect 2015 to bring about a few changes, our intention only being for the better. Regardless of the upcoming transitions, we can guarantee one thing will not change: our desire to bring you the best music we possibly can.
