BLADE RUNNER THEME MONOCOC REWORK 2024

Back in 1993 Wolfgang Kaiser a.k.a. Monococ started his career as a producer. He bought himself a Korg 01 / W and after a short time he discovered the world of electronic music and started to get deeper and deeper in to the music.

His first releases were more Trance Music in the early nineties (1996). At the time he named himself “Emperor” . After many more releases he found out that Techno music is his real passion and in 2012 he started producing techno, minimal and techhouse music under his new name “Monococ”

As a deejay he's career includes events in many clubs including appearances at the legendary Disco Airport in Frankfurt the "Dorian Grey". He also played together with legends like Paul van Dyk. The latest step was the partnership with Ben Champell, Patrick Hero and other artists since july 2014. Since then he had releases on labels like PP Music or Undercool Productions.

At 2015 he released a lot of good Tracks on Phunk Traxx, they found access into the playlist from Richie Hawtin and UMEK.
In March of 2016 makes he the next step in his career with his "Elements" Ep released on Moonplay Records with a Remix from JSPR an Artist by Minus Records.

Well ok a little about me.... I'm nothing more than a bedroom Dj, far from professional and Dj using a Mp3 controller connected to my laptop. Doesn't mean i don't know what I'm doing because i do and i know how it should sound. Achieving that right sound doesn't always happen for me but I enjoy trying, please leave a comment on my mix even if you didnt like it all criticism is constructive  

I'm from Liverpool England, I was born in 1981 and got into dance music around the early 90's. Prodigy played a big part in my early teens, I got into Hardcore and Jungle in my mid teens through older peers that were around in my life. As I became old enough to start going out i got into House music as its so dominant in Liverpool, as i grew out of my teens Trance started to take off and that was the best genre i felt at home with so my collection really was all about Trance. In my mid 20's i stumbled upon Psychedelic Trance and then i really found the style that i favored the most.


DJ QW, who comes from Hamburg-Harburg, has already written a long artist history. 
He startet in the late 1990s by scratching his vinyl collection to death on a cheap Reloop turntable. Scratching was fascinating to him. In the early 2000s he finally ended up in Hamburg clubs as a hip-hop DJ.
At that time producing music was not the focus. That changed in 2008 when it was possible to combine Serato with Ableton Live.
Loops had to be built here that fit the mix. But in which style? Fascinating new musical worlds came from France (Justic, Sebastian, Dj Medhi) and England (Skream, Kryptic Minds, Burial).
New influences, exciting challenges and curiosity about other and new sounds from electronica, glitch hop and dubstep.
After a lengthy hiatus in Germany, Bavaria, where he succumbed to the worldly cravings of beer, this mystical place of Emperor Franz (no, not the Beckenbauer) aroused his interest in modern house styles. The new influences came from Milena Meißner's house mixes. His current interest is deep melodic house. Production is still in Ableton. Here the analogue sounds from well-known synthesizers (plugins) are combined with minimalistic grooves.

Every DJ or DJane who channels the energy of countless artists through their tracks—woven into a unique set and carried into the hearts of the audience—deserves to be heard. It doesn’t matter where, and it doesn’t matter if their name is well-known or unknown. What truly matters is that everyone—absolutely everyone—gets to experience a moment of joy in a life that can often be demanding. That’s what I stand for, with my passion and the way I craft my sets.
