C’est n’est pas pour rien que les créateurs de Hotline Miami l’ont choisi pour la B-O de leurs jeux … Electro cybernétique punchy à tendance 80, appuyé par une imagerie résolument grindhouse, James Kent aka Perturbator est la tête de proue du revival synthwave. À Rennes, c’est sur la scène du Stunfest qu’il présentera son nouveau live act, diabolique et dévastateur.

- DIVAG présente LE MANÈGE À RYTHMES -
Interplateau de cette nouvelle édition, le manège à rythmes est une boîte à rythmes acoustique qui utilise l’électronique et la mécanique pour créer des sons. Invité à s’installer sur un vélo, le public peut contrôler cette installation et créer de la musique, en pédalant et en manipulant une interface tactile. En apportant une dimension visuelle au son, cette installation permet d’appréhender de manière ludique et intuitive la création de boucles rythmiques, tout en partageant un moment de création musicale.

ZX81 is a British monochrome computer as big as an adult man's hand-palm. It has touch-sense keyboard and 1Kb of RAM only and it's been released in 1981 (American version is Timex 1000 and Timex 1500). 
It had a modular construction, so people weren't forced to buy all the hardware in one machine, if they didn't need it. So - if anybody required additional RAM, he could buy 16Kb RamPack or more. 
If somebody needed sound - he was able to buy a ZonX sound-module (with YM/AY chip inside). 

Finally we decided it's not enough for us. ;) ;) ZonXes are still being produced by various guys. And now - one machine is interesting for our porpose: Mr-X, because it is a through-out device - more interfaces can be connected to it. So - we decided to connect two sound-modules to ZX81 (one of them is on different ports than another) to obtain 6 channels of sound. 
And... IT'S ALIVE!!!!!! ;) Yes - You can here listen to  6-channels music composed on real ZX81 32Kb with two YM/AY interfaces (ZXpand-AY and Mr-X). Also I recorded the music from real ZX81 hardware. 

To compose the songs I used Andy Rea's "ZX81 SoundTracker" (first I made one half of every song, then the second one, because the SoundTracker for ZX81 can support only one AY chip - 3 channels). 
Then I recorded them from the same ZX81 with ZXpand-AY and Mr-X modules (using TurboSound Player). 

Thanx go to Andy Rea for the software (ZX81 SoundTracker, TurboSound Player), also to ZX81 hardware developers: SirMorris (ZXpand and ZXpand-AY) and to Sascha2000 (Mr-X).

I used 2 gameboys running LSDJ and mixer for effects.

Finally I got the ACA500 interface for the Amiga (RAM, CPU, HDD/CF). Work with the device is highly comfortable and nice!! I planned to make a longer oldschool rave / breakbeat / house album, using the interface :) and indeed entire album "Rave is illegal" (04.2014) You can find here:

A MIDI song composed for Wild Compo of SillyVenture 2014 Atari Party.

This is kind of micromusic I made in MIDI standard, using two machines from 80s: 

- a sound-module Roland MT-32 (8 channels + drums) - 1987
- ATARI 520ST (with Cubase 2.1 as the sequencer) - 1985

I don't have many opportunities to play live some improvisations when I use trackers, so this time - with MIDI - it was kind of fun. :)

Also I think people tend to forget the MIDI is Atari's power, so I just wanted to remind it. ;)

Lambda Calculus was my (failed) Chip=Win 4 Submission. I initially wanted to tighten it up some more, as was suggested by the judges, but since I am moving most of my "pure chip" stuff to LSDJ, I will leave it as is.
