Eastern European Music Academy united 50 students from the whole region to study and write music together over the last 3 months. This project journey became much bigger than just another online course — during the summer time all the Belarus’ students received significant support from their peers. Later, October events inspired three female students from Poland, Hungary and Estonia to join forces fighting against the abortion ban in a creative way and write a girl power manifesto with a strong message.
“We are extremely proud of the outcome from our first digital academy. First, our target was to update the knowledge about the music business of our students during the pandemic times. But we ended up being not only the classmates, but a music family, supporting each other and reflecting on all those crazy events happening in the world. Now it’s not only about helping the music industry, but also about changing the European society in general,’ — says Alona Dmukhovska, co-founder of Music Export Ukraine and co-curator of the Academy.
Eastern European Music Academy is the first educational and networking project aiming to unite the whole region. It helps musicians and their managers, who want to overcome the live-industry crisis to dive into income generation opportunities for the music business in current realities. Besides, it creates a community of like-minded people, who seek to expand their operations to the whole Eastern European region and what to collaborate on the international level. Mentors of the Academy are music professionals from all over Europe who have experience working with major labels, successfully developing their own music business, or are the first contact to enter international unions and music associations.

What this world needs is a Lithuanian trio who sing in Spanish, make their own hats and insert their arms into bigger sleeves than Elvis. Thankfully, the boys of Planeta Polar provide exactly this service on a regular basis. Beautifully lacking in logic, their flamboyant costumes create an absurd contrast against their humble, home-cooked stage presence while they deliver an impossibly authentic repertoire of latin carnival songs you will assume were written somewhere near the Caribbean, not the Baltic Sea.
Their stated mission is to make people shake their hips, which is a thing Lithuanians don’t normally do. “Challenge accepted” say Planeta Polar, picking up a bass guitar, some bongos and an accordion with a toy synthesiser stuck on top of it. Highlights of the show include the one about the big elephant, the one about the girl and “Puro Carnaval”, a song which is unsurprisingly about the purity of carnival. When asked why he writes in Spanish instead of Lithuanian, frontman [name here] explains "because I don't know how to write songs in Lithuanian". Let's be fair – not many people do.
Planeta Polar sound like The Doors would have sounded if they’d taken stimulants instead of psychedelics. Maybe this explanation makes no sense to you, but remember you don’t have to understand Planeta Polar, or their lyrics, to have a great time listening to their music.

This is why we are witnessing numerous revolutions, wars, civil unrest and political confrontation on global scale; likewise, on the micro level, we are paralyzed by numerous personal catastrophes of families breaking apart, people saying and doing things they never did or even never dared to think about. Unlike in other cases, when "clairvoyants" used to allude to Nostradamus and his predictions of the World’s End which never came, this time the whole picture reminds of the Last Judgment. The story of this collaboration started from a girl from India who has a dream to get into the music industry. For this purpose, she moved to Europe to learn what will help her get closer to her dream. During her studies at Eastern European Music Academy she was offered to record a song together with her team member, who accidentally heard an angelic voice in the Facebook-recording on her page. This became her first step in the world of music and for what she loves doing the most. 
“This song is about conveying a message to your loved ones. About smile, positivity & happiness in life. It’s my first composition and very close to my heart, it was written for my loved ones living in India and Estonia. The opportunity to record this song came to me when ‘Andru’, a  musician from Belarus, asked me if I could write and compose songs. I told him that I have composed only one song in my life and it's in Hindi, my native language. But over time it became our mutual release and I’m really happy to start my career with it!” — says Monika Bhola from Estonia.

Once upon a time, there were eight creative enthusiasts within the music industry from different countries with a wide variety of musical backgrounds and genres. They were put together randomly in the luckiest way possible to create a band and of course music for the Eastern European Music Academy project. It took 3 months of fun and successful collaboration via Whatsapp and Zoom to create “The Game”.
”The Game” is addressing struggles people have with self-worth, finding their place in life and claiming back their power. Everything is possible when you know the rules of the game: “There's no right no wrong / we're just playing along,” — say the participants of the collaboration.

3 Months Later - The Game

Social reality around us forces us to take one side or the other. This creates the illusion that we know the correct answer. But in reality there are many more details than we can ever grasp.

Four musicians with different backgrounds and from different countries uniting and creating the “When I’m Gone” - a song that was formed right in midst of the corona-times. When you take a look at each member's history, you will see artists that have one core value in common: they all fought for their dream: music.
Although they never met in person, Max Paragraph, Radu Caragea, Artur Lisnyi, and Bogdan Belyaev managed to create their single while working together exclusively online. ” When I’m gone” is about the social reality around us that forces us to pick a side. By doing this, it creates the illusion that we know the correct answer. But in reality, there are many more unknown facts than we can ever grasp. In the end, the only thing we can be certain about is that we will die.
