Singer-songwriter and electronic music producer. To many that might sound like two very different aspects of modern sound culture - which in turn makes Monolink a fascinating character, because he's both rolled into one. His style seamlessly connects the narrative structure of a song with the compelling forward thrust of electronic rhythms. Guitar chords merge into synthetic pad sounds, hypnotic bass vibrations meet emotional vocal parts, passionate physicality meets sublime stimulation for the mind.

While Techno music was babbling its first beats, Rombeads dropped his classical piano class and headed to rock music followed by electronic music. This admirer of Beethoven, NIN and Kraftwerk composed two LPs in 2003 and 2006 that expressed his attraction to melody and rhythm. He crossed the road to a mixing table in 2008 and began to play tunes that made him rock. Mix becomes quickly remix, and he now composes live multifaceted sets that are diabolically efficient! He revisits international techno-punko-dubstepo-bassline productions and adds his beat maker touch. It bangs, it grooves, it bursts, it electrifies, it makes you sweat, move, wriggle your hips and smile!

ROMBEADS, c’est tic, tac, boum ! Le temps ne semble passer ni sur le bonhomme ni sur son live-set tellurique, teinté de techno-house-punko-acido-bassline.

Enfant, il glisse ses doigts sur le piano familiale. Adolescent, il se greffe un poste radio accompagné de synthétiseurs au sonorités de Kraftwerk, NIN, Depeche Mode et des Bérus. Adulte, il est informé par son psy qu’il est musicovore en phase terminale.

En 2003 et 2006, il auto-produit 2 albums (Ctrl Alt Del et Stupid!, remarqués par Trax Magazine), qui synthétisent son attrait pour le téléscopage des genres musicaux. Une table de mixage lui tombe sous les mains en 2008 et il créera dans la foulée le duo KRASH ON EARTH (Audiovisual - avec le VJ Mika Ventura) qui lui ouvrira les portes des dancefloors.

Au fil du temps, il évolue en solo et devient un spécialiste du remix live, mélangeant les genres électroniques pour en faire un cocktail punchy ultra-festif: le son qui le fait danser et fait danser les foules.

Il comptabilise près de 100 dates (dont la moitié en 1ère partie d’artistes tels que Boyz Noise, The Bloody Beetroots, Etienne de Crecy, Crookers, Noisia, Djedjotronic, Digitalisim, Sebastian, Fukkk Off, Goose et Elisa Do Brasil) dont certaines dans des lieux de grand renom comme le Montreux Jazz, Paléo Festival, Château-Rouge (Annemasse), Usine (Genève), Reithalle (Bern)...

Et sans coup férir il continue de cogner, de groover, de bétonner et d’électriser un public toujours plus nombreux.
