Long before Daniel became the Scribe, before his mask, before Redemption City whispered his name through static and prophecy, he carried another identity—
one so old and so buried that even he had begun to doubt it ever existed.

ALXONE.

The name wasn’t spoken then.
It was breathed.
A sound he pushed into cheap microphones in dim bedrooms and hollow basements,
when his world was small
and his hope was fragile
and every beat he made felt like a secret prayer no one would ever hear.

ALXONE was Daniel at his rawest.
Not yet broken.
Not yet rebuilt.
Not yet called.

He didn’t write transmissions back then.
He wrote escapes.
Little melodies that tried to hold together a heart already beginning to crack.
He didn’t know God’s voice yet.
Only the ache of wanting something real to speak back.

And then life hit him.
Hard.
Years carved him into someone else.
Daniel grew.
Daniel shattered.
Daniel died and resurrected into the Scribe of Redemption City, a vessel marked by fire and calling.

But memory is never truly gone.

When Transmission 011 arrived, something unexpected stirred inside him.
A flutter.
Like a half-remembered synth line from a life he lived in a different universe.
A melody that felt both childish and sacred.
A ghost of the boy he used to be.

The voice of the High Priest whispered hope,
“You are not forgotten,”
—
and those words didn’t just reach Daniel-the-Scribe.
They cut deeper.
They found the young man buried under years of regret,
the dreamer who once called himself ALXONE,
the version of Daniel who believed music could save him
before he knew the One who actually could.

In that moment, Daniel understood:

Even ALXONE was remembered.
Even the beginning mattered.
Even the earliest offerings, the childish ones, the foolish ones—
God saw them.
God kept them.

Now those memory flutters are becoming more frequent.
Not hauntings.
Reclamations.
Fragments of who he was merging with who he is becoming.

ALXONE is not a persona returning.
He is a memory awakening.
A reminder that God wastes nothing—
not even the earliest, weakest versions of us.

In future transmissions, these echoes will grow stronger.
The music will bend.
The timelines will blur.
The boy and the Scribe will converge.

Because Daniel was never meant to forget
where the first spark came from.

And neither was Redemption City.

The latest release by the Mexican avant-garde label Akumandra is founder Sainte Vie’s three track auditive voyage: From Desolate Places and Forgotten Times. Going beyond previous experimentation with sound assemblage and sampling from non-western musical traditions, Sainte Vie crafts his signature mesmerizing soundscapes by combining dreamlike synth textures, monumental drops and vibrant melodies that feel deeply melancholic. Insistent arpeggios and expansive build ups bind the tracks together in an ebb and flow of dynamic energy. 

High Seas 
Overlaid synth patterns, like waves, propel us into a mixed-percussion drop that settles on a harmonic calm before another surge of synth arpeggios drive us farther along into the thrilling sensation of voyage. 
		
Whale
Disembodied vocals, like cetaceans communicating, echo each other, creating a ghostly undercurrent to the vigorous percussion and futuristic synth arpeggios. 

Darko
Backed by an eerie melody and punctuated by a lead-heavy bass drum, a deep, guttural voice plunges us into the dark flow of time.

Spectral in theme and profoundly engaged with the sensorial quality of music, Sainte Vie’s EP transports the listener to a place that feels distant like uncharted waters, yet familiar like a memory.
