From deep down beneath the silent sea surface comes the fifth Tiefenrausch release. The „Rotterdub Remix EP“ features four producers of the direct environment of the label. Frank Hellmond, Neurotron, Schäufler & Zovsky and Baumfreund laid their hands on Noetics „Rotterdub“ and opened the wide spectrum of deep underwater music. A wonderful piece of Dubtechno music.

Das fünfte Release von Tiefenrausch bestreiten gleich vier Produzenten aus dem direkten Umfeld des Labels: Frank Hellmond, Neurotron, Schaeufler & Zovsky und zu guter Letzt Baumfreund. Alle vier remixen den Track „Rotterdub“ der Band Noetics  und eröffnen so  das weite Spektrum der tiefen Musik der Unterwasserwelt.  Ein ganz besonderes Stück Dubtechno Musik.

Den Anfang macht Frank Hellmond von Dreiton.net. Schleppend und unwirklich zeichnet er seinen Sound und verleiht dem Song durch sein bedächtiges Arrangement die besondere Essenz.
Neurotron nimmt sich gar nicht erst vor den Meeresboden zu beobachten. Stattdessen sorgt er mit seinem druckvollen Sound Verwirbelung in der dunklen Technogrotte.
Schaeufler & Zovsky bleiben ihrer Linie treu. Gut so! Heraus kommt eine warmherzige, leidenschaftliche und treibende Unterwassermelodie.
Zum Abschluss erklimmen liebevolle Sounds wabernd und pulsierend die Wasseroberfläche während der Baumfreund im Seegras liegt und sich im Groove verliert.

Third shot on Connwax! Following up our first two widely acclaimed EPs produced by Eduardo De La Calle and Refracted, three unique and versatile techno tracks are emerging from the abyss. Banging raw rhythms, sharp chords along with stripped down and spaced out soundscapes recomposed to an out of the ordinary highlight of the Berlin based producer Monomood who recently did a great release on Uncanny Valley's sublabel Shtum. Wer würde sich besser eignen, die neue DAVE-Podcast Reihe zu starten, als Maltin Worf. Immerhin darf sich die Beats-Baumeister seit letzten Jahre Laptopbattle-König nennen. Seine Stücke haben so ziemlich alles, was guter Hop-Hop braucht. Mitreißende Bässe, prägnante Samples, die richtigen Stolperfallen bei den Beats und eine ordentliche Portion Schmutz obendrauf. Perfekt zum Kopfnicken, also. Damit hat er sich in Dresden inzwischen einen guten Namen gemacht, wie er auch hier mit seinem Podcast unter Beweis stellt. Dieser besteht nämlich nur aus seinen eigenen Stücken. Viel Spaß!

Trend setting Canadian label My Favorite Robot is all ready to offer up some scorching
summer sounds in the form of their tidy three track sampler EP. It features three hot artists
and a trio of cuts that fit in perfectly with their singular MO.

Swiss outfit Animal Trainer, of labels like Hive Audio and Still Vor Talent and others, go
first. Their excellent ‘Aeron’ track is their first ever on this label and is a walloping great
house cut with huge rubber kicks, spin tingling melodies and the sort of oversized bassline
that will thoroughly destroy dance floors this summer. It is a patient, cosmic tinged track
with a subtle sense of tension and release that really sweeps you up.

Next up is Italian producer and DJ, Slok, who has been churning out beats for almost
twenty years. In that time he has amassed credits on plenty of top labels including One
Records, Circle Music and of course MFRR and has previously enlisted the MFR
production outfit to provide vocals on his music. Here we find him in a doleful deep house
mood with sombre chords laid over slick beats on ‘Dreamachine’. It is a spaced out and
hypnotic track that will allow for lots of introspective moments.

Finally, Valencia talent Darlyn Vlys is a prolific producer who has been active for five years
but has already released more than ten EPs on all sorts of labels like Avotre, Terminal M
and Suara. His ‘Butterfly’ track is eerie and haunted, with wide open spaces sucking you
in. Thin pads, starry melodies and groaning bass all make for epic listening as you are
trapped in the middle of it all and this one is perfect for dead of the night moments of pure
emotion.

This summer sampler offers up a hat trick of class club hits that remind us just why My
Favourite Robot is one of the most talked about labels of the day.

Monomood was born in a small village near to Dresden in the mid 80thies. Since more than 10 years he lives in Berlin. As an artist he is difficult to categorize. What is it? Techno? House? Drum and Bass? Or maybe Dubstep? What about a quantum Funk or Ambient? Well, actually, it’s always a bit of everything – but it’s always new and fresh. It is hard to find the leitmotif, and yet there is one: quality. After dwelling on the Drum and Bass station for a while, it is most accurate to say Monomood has taken off into the future: the wide cosmos of dubby Techno sounds. His vinyls on Etui Records, carry us into the complex world of echoed chords and spacy Delays as well as dark techno vibes.
