With the originals getting props from the likes of DJ Yoda, Fatboy Slim and JFB - it was time to do the do on the remix front and make the whole package even bigger. On 'Feel Good', Krafty Kuts moves away from the slinky p-funk of the original to lay down a more up-tempo funk version, while thatmanmonkz replaces the funk sample of the original with a driving house groove.

Over on 'Back In The Day', Smoove does exactly what his Old School mix says on the tin, dropping classic hip hop samples into the mix. George Solar finished off the package with a dubby slo-mo balearic mix perfect for downtempo sets on the island he calls home.

Now, exactly fifteen years later, Fort Knox Five are rereleasing “The Brazilian Hipster” on 7-inch vinyl for the very first time, with the coveted Skeewiff Remix on the flip side.

From Rob Myers’ juicy Bossa Nova guitar lick to Steve Raskin’s retro-future production stylisims, there is something inimitable in every corner of this track. On the flip side of this 45 you’ll find a rare gem: the elusive (and now exclusive) Skeewiff Remix of “The Brazilian Hipster.” Skeewiff cuts a groove like only he can and delivers a complete reintrepretation of FK5’s seminal classic. Mononome is a musician/producer hailing from Thessaloniki, Greece.
Releasing music under the moniker since 2011, he soon accomplished to become one of the key figures of his generation within the European beat-producing scene.

Starting off with sampling, and presently based on a mixture of it along with live instrumentation and electronics, Mononome managed to create a characteristic sound, blurring the lines between future and old school.
