Vers 1 : J'arrive au spot
J'ai rentré dans l'Café Pot, ça sentait l'bon café fort, osti!
Murs pleins d'affiches de la Maestra, vibe de fantôme révolutionnaire.
La file avance pas vite, comme un blocus, mais chu prêt pour l'coup,
Ces écureuils-là vont me servir un café avec du grit communiste, bout d'ciarge!
Refrain :
¡Hasta la victoria siempre, passe-moé l'café cubano!
Écureuils en béret, qui switchent de rôle comme des commandos.
Une minute cute pis fluffy, l'autre y sont en pleine révolte,
J'prends mon breuvage avec une dose idéologique qui m'révolte!
Café Pot, Café Pot – révolution dans une tasse,
Ché, Fidel, Raúl – nuts up, camarade, quossé ça qu'tu veux, là?!
Vers 2 : Ché prend la commande
Premier, Ché-nut Guevara, béret de travers, yeux en feu,
Y m'regarde intense comme si j'étais un espion yanqui, crisse!
« ¡Camarade! Type de grains – Arabica pour les bourgeois mous?
Robusta pour la vraie lutte prolétarienne, ou on va-tu dark roast jusqu'à victoire? »
J'bafouille « Moyen Colombien », y hoche la tête grave :
« ¡Correcto! Choix du peuple – hasta la victoria siempre! »
Moustaches qui twitchent, patte sur l'pad, écrit comme un manifeste,
Cet écureuil-là s'en va lancer un foco direct sur l'espresso.
Vers 3 : Raúl gère la chaleur
Passe à Raúl-nut Castro, qui règle la chaleur précis au poil,
Vapeur qui siffle comme un chant de foule à La Havane, calvaire.
« 92 degrés pile – pas de tiède bourgeois, sacrament!
Déviation d'la ligne? Contre-révolutionnaire, avoue don'! »
Machine qui crie comme une foule, shot tiré propre et bold,
Pis y shake – mode écureuil cute, queue gonflée, l'histoire est told.
Vers 4 : Fidel mousse le lait
Dernier stop, Fi-nut-del Castro, barbe épique, flow oratoire,
Mousse le lait comme s'y parlait à l'ONU, vole la scène au complet.
« J'peux parler des heures d'ce lait-là – justice dans chaque bulle!
Pas d'mottes pour les exploiteurs, égalité ou on a des troubles! »
Verse une fougère qui ressemble à Cuba, microfoam parfait,
Discours fini – y twitch, fluffy de nouveau, biscuit d'gland en prime.
Refrain (reprise) :
¡Hasta la victoria siempre, passe-moé l'café cubano!
Écureuils qui transforment, du fierce au cute comme par magie, mano.
Tasse dans mes pattes – fort, sucré, breuvage qui change une vie,
Ça m'a secoué l'âme, mais osti qu'c'est bon, c'te café-là!

Mononome is a musician/producer hailing from Thessaloniki, Greece.
Releasing music under the moniker since 2011, he soon accomplished to become one of the key figures of his generation within the European beat-producing scene.

Starting off with sampling, and presently based on a mixture of it along with live instrumentation and electronics, Mononome managed to create a characteristic sound, blurring the lines between future and old school.

His breakthrough album “Come Close” released in 2012 led to multiple tours across Europe, playing festivals and venues sharing the stage with the likes of Wax Tailor, Chinese Man, Thievery Corporation, Nightmares On Wax, DJ Krush, Ras G and Gramatik.

His work has been praised and received airplay by radio stations such as L.A.-based “KCRW”, Paris-based “NOVA” and “Le Mellotron” and has been featured on the “BandCamp Daily” column of the renowned platform.
