MIDDLE OF NOWHERE RECORDINGS is a small bespoke label born and raised in the Highlands of Scotland. Originally established as a vehicle to release material by critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Rachel Sermanni, demand from other artists has led to creating a more extensive and formal platform to meet these requests. Boasting a compact but diverse roster, current artists include Rachel Sermanni, Pete Roe, Colin Macleod, Miss Irenie Rose, Sorren Maclean and Roddy Hart & The Lonesome Fire.


Alfie Arthur is the new alias of musician Jo Whitby currently residing in Glasgow, Scotland. She/They

Formerly making music under the guise Laurence Made Me Cry, Arthur has performed live at XpoNorth, Celtic Connections, Belladrum and Green Man Festival. As LMMC Whitby has toured across the UK and North America sharing the stage with artists such as Idlewild, Saint Sister and Rae Spoon.

Not one to stick to a particular genre, Alfie Arthur does mark a bit of a departure from the electronic and folk tinted world of LMMC for a more dark and indie rock landscape. However, Arthur makes no apologies for the occasional proper banger dance track.
