Kicking off the 2015 release schedule, Silk Digital is excited to present the first remixes single from Dan Sieg's "A Sense Of Wonder" artist album, which reached #1 on Beatport's trance and progressive house release charts in the final quarter of this past year. Specifically, remix duties have been bestowed upon Sound Quelle (Russia) and Blugazer (USA), two veteran talents who experienced breakthrough years in 2014, on account of various standout original contributions and remixes to our parent label. 

Sound Quelle continues to dazzle electronic music fans alike with his versatile talent: composing deep house, club trance, and all sub-genres in between with equal sophistication and depth. His remix of Dan Sieg's "A Sense Of Wonder" begins with a powerful groove, coupled with deep pads and the subtle lead melody from the original mix. Gorgeous melodic variations begin to emerge, as the track approaches the main break. Poignant pads offer an especially memorable climax, just before the drop beckons the listener to re-join the dancefloor. 

Blugazer, whose "Ethereal Concepts" was a label highlight from 2014, offers a heartwarming take on "Horizons". The radiance and sense of optimism from the original mix is not lost in Blugazer's take, which centers on a soothing progressive house groove and early-morning pads. Meanwhile, signature vocal effects add tremendous texture to the soundscape. By the song's latter half, Blugazer has once again woven an intricate progressive composition, replete with various melodic layers, heavenly vocal stabs, and soulful pads.

Russian talent Sound Quelle proved to be one of Silk's most supported artists on trance & progressive radio last year, paving the way for a breakthrough year. His single "Piece of Cake" received generous support from Above & Beyond, Jaytech, and Ruben de Ronde. We're delighted to present two brand new remixes of this track by a pair of celebrated Silk veterans: Canadian phenom Dezza and Russian sensation Alexander Volosnikov.

Dezza has shared his gift for crafting club-oriented compositions with Silk for over 5 years now. His new remix begins on firm progressive house footing, as a bouncy bassline progression begins to cut through the mix. The main themes from the original begin to emerge at the quarter turn as well, including the gorgeous piano and vocal motifs. Meanwhile, Dezza's new melodic variations and chords infuse tremendous emotion and energy to the track. The climactic drop is euphoric, as Dezza once again showcases his refined talent for working the dancefloor.

Alexander Volosnikov, known for intricate and hypnotic soundscapes, has received wonderful support of the years. His latest contribution centers on an adrenalin-fueled groove, punctuated by anthemic chords. In the main break, the poignant vocal theme is left alone, with only a fragile piano theme to support it. Suddenly, a swirling arpeggio emerges, propelling the listener into a rapturous frenzy. The subsequent combination of Volosnikov's peak-hour, driving rhythm with dazzling arpeggios and chords in the final quarter of the track is truly unforgettable.

It’s a warm welcome back to PHW co-worker Infinity State as we see Pil join back with us on the label, with another tremendous 3 track EP, this one called “Flight 32”. He is a producer working hard with his music, and we do believe it will be a great 2016 from him, as we already know he has some truly superb releases coming upon  variety of labels. 

For this release, you are to get your hands on a great blend of styles, still all in the progressive manner. The title track and opener as well is as mentioned before his brilliant track called “Flight 32”. This is a true club track, filled with crisp vocal adds, driving piano chords, pumping bass lines that is a pure progressive trance bliss and one that will etch to you right from the first listen.

The 2nd track, baptized as “Arex” is another driving progressive track, cool vocals, lovely melodic arrangements and a great groove built with pumping bass chords. It’s another majestic track from the US bound producer. 

As the 3rd production on the release, we see another twist from the young producer, where he delivers a more sun-drenched and “a smile on your face feel” with the track called “Significance”. This is one for the summer season, and we are delighted to see the great variety Pil takes, showing a wide spectra of his techniques. He is definitely one to watch for 2016!
