Few label newcomers have crafted a sound that so comfortably fits into the musical fabric of our imprint as rising talent Veeshy. His gorgeous soundscapes showcase deep, romantic textures and crystalline melodies, which evoke a state of reverie, if not catharsis, in the listener. We are thrilled to showcase four new cuts from the Australian composer, two of which were recently featured on our Silk Music Showcase 06 compilation.

Veeshy's EP kicks off with "Stimulate The Stars," which centers on an array of ethereal vocal stabs and profoundly lush and sensual pads. At the quarter turn, arpeggiated chords mesmerize the listener, soon followed by an equally entrancing new theme in the main breakdown. The return of the sensual bassline groove in the final stage of the song's arrangement is simply blissful.

The rapturous "Aural Ambience" introduces Veeshy signatures at every turn: a breathtaking vocal sample punctuates exceedingly deep pads and, of course, hypnotizing and mellifluous arpeggiated melodies carry the lead. The breakdown offers a meditative moment, in which the symphony of melodic sounds overtakes the listener and purges any feelings of anxiety or self-doubt.

In the deeply soothing "Evening Aesthetics," a cavernous bassline and celestial melody lines cast a dreamlike spell upon the listener. The romantic and soulful essence of this nocturnal ode further reveals itself throughout the arrangement, as angelic vocal stabs and ecstatic new melodies continue to emerge.

Veeshy's "2am" is a fitting closing track to his EP. Of all four songs on the release — a veritable journey through nocturnal soundscapes — this one proves to be the most dreamlike and evocative. A chilled groove is joined by a seductive vocal sample and mystical pads, as well as an entrancing lead melodic motif. The patient crescendo of the arrangement ultimately leads to a slightly more uptempo closing groove, in which the moody pads coalesce beautifully with the hypnotic melody lines.
