Dan Sieg & Sam Wilkinson, better known as Dan & Sam, dazzled international progressive fans and DJ's alike with their debut effort on our imprint, "Breaking The Illusion". Not only did it receive great international DJ support, but the single also went on to reach #2 on the Beatport Trance releases chart, as well as earn a spot on Max Graham's acclaimed "Cycles 4" compilation [Armada]. Their sophomore effort, "Walls", is another ornate and melodic progressive gem. This time around, they have recruited promising vocal talent Maxx Hennard, whose rich baritone adds a warmth and "sophisticated" sentimentality to the track. The one and only remix in the package comes courtesy of American sensation Shawn Mitiska, whose decorated veteran career includes numerous solo hits, most recently "Salt" [Enhanced]. Supported on countless occasions by Armin Van Buuren, amongst other top international DJ's, Shawn Mitiska has been a truly humbling addition to our label roster this past year, with standout remixes on Schodt's "Heatwave" and Shingo Nakamura's "Whither". His work here, a vocal rendering of "Walls", affirms that he truly possesses a remarkable talent for crafting intelligent and uplifting peak-hour tunes. 

The Original Mix by Dan & Sam kicks off with a lush chord progression, a central motif of the track, and is soon joined by early echoes of Maxx Hennard's stunning vocal. After a quick mini-break, the bassline pulls back slightly, setting the stage brilliantly for Hennard's soulful and evocative verse. The memorable lyrics culminate in the chorus with the line: "The only walls we've got, are the walls we built ourselves". It's a breath-taking moment, augmented by the gorgeous delayed vox and lead synth lines that fill out the soundscape. In the drop, the central groove teasingly returns with just the kick, followed soon thereafter by the arrival of the full rhythm and (chorus hook) in full, anthemic force.

Trademark sounds and Japanese inspired dub isolate immaculate motifs and sequences.

Juxtaposed, precision Austrian engineering from the creative mind of a legend; Karl Moestl carves out regular shapes from polished stone to create further life and happiness. Metronomic beats and shuffling percussion glide in modern ingenuity carefully placed within the context of original arrangement in all its silky glory. Having just celebrated the one-year anniversary of his first official release, Elypsis has already found a voice within the compositional niche of atmospheric and sensual deep-progressive electronic music. It seems to have been fateful, then, that he would link up with acclaimed veteran singer-songwriter Arielle Maren (also known for crafting poignant progressive anthems), with whom his musical chemistry is undeniable. Their original version offers listeners both a soothing and moving aural experience, thanks to the chilled, after-hours vibes of Elypsis' underlying instrumental, coupled with Arielle's gentle, yet heartfelt lyrics and reassuring refrain, "I'll always be... right here."

Veteran fans of our label (and trance & progressive house, in general) will not be surprised to see Serbian phenom Vintage & Morelli grace a single that features Arielle Maren, his frequent muse. He honors the rich musicality of Elypsis' production, as well as the emotional resonance of Arielle's lyrics and vocals, with an energized, blissful take. More specifically, the song begins with a punchy, ebullient groove, which casts a hopeful and radiant glow upon Arielle's vocals. Euphoric chords, kissed with just a twinge of melancholy, continue to permeate the soundscape, leading to the triumphant main breakdown, where a soaring piano theme and jubilant chords rapturously coalesce with Arielle's gorgeous vocal.

Having recently collaborated with veteran songwriter and vocalist Arielle Maren on the ineffably soulful and timeless single "Always Be," Elypsis now treats us to another beautiful vocal cut, "I Won't Let Go." Featuring the soothing and effortlessly beautiful vocals of Elypsis' frequent collaborator Mandy Reign, this soothing deep house single is paired with the atmospheric and moody B-side "Adrift At Sea."

Beginning with a full verse from Mandy Reign, "I Won't Let Go" offers listeners a lush and romantic soundscape from its earliest moments. Behind the vocals, delicate deep house percussion and harmonious synth lines reinforce the sentimental, after-hours vibes. In the main breakdown, we are met by the titular vocal hook, as well as one of the most memorable lines of the song: "So if you help me to find my way and overcome my darkest days, I promise you I'll never let you go." 

One immediately experiences a darker, more brooding energy from "Adrift At Sea," the B-side of Elypsis' new EP. A bell-tinged theme and a captivating vocal effect, both of which appear throughout the tune, float above a deliciously resonant groove. The suspenseful buildup of these elements ultimately leads to a heartbreaking new theme: an extended guitar solo, which drips with the loneliness and despair of a sailor lost at sea.
