DEEP TECHNO

Podcast #185 is a very special one, coming at you from a dear friend and London’s hugely cherished, Jin Synth.

We adore Jin for her unique musical persona and magical touch in the realms of ambient, meditative, deep and stirring sounds - which this journey captures beautifully. A poignant and emotive trip, the invitation we needed to allow some ease and momentary comfort and calm to return to our hearts.

We know that techno encompasses freedom and unity, openness and connection and is a celebration of the essence of each of us, the beauty of originality, and the power of people unified by shared values and beliefs. Amidst all the pain and suffering in our world, of which we are all feeling immensely in this moment, as we try to make sense of it all - and of ourselves within it - music grounds us. We find meaning, strength and comfort in the rhythms, friends and soulmates at events, respite, refuge, love and light in all that it embodies and represents. It reminds us to look beyond the workings of the mind into the realms of true humanity, unconditional human connection,  possibility, transcendence and hope, strengthening our connection to our own truth and therefore the truth mirrored back to us by all others, if we open our hearts and minds to where it points us to.

Jin’s mix has been a much-needed reminder of the power of music and we’re honoured that this journey becomes a part of our story too.

Jin will be on opening duties at at our gathering this coming Friday the 3rd of November, bringing her ethereal and mythical sounds to The Pickle Factory.

fleika grew up during the heyday of Prague’s rave culture, coming of age as a DJ in booths built for a single night only. The Czech techno renaissance formed him, then the newly-born club culture embraced him as one of its main protagonists. The Ankali resident digs anything that kicks, melts or makes one’s mind trip, but mainly thrives on diving into the vast depths of hypnotic and psychedelic techno – as deep as it gets.

fleika shared a few words about the mix:
"I always enjoy having enough time to express myself, whether at live events or on podcasts. An hour is barely enough to dive into my favorite places. In this mix, I kept it groovy while exploring deeper territories, reflecting my outlook on life in general."
