Cio D’Or hardly requires an introduction, having long stood as both a pillar of our scene and a source of inspiration for so many. Over the course of her singular and decades-spanning career, the Cologne-based artist has cultivated a universe of sound entirely her own, immediately recognizable yet endlessly evolving much like the work of her contemporaries and collaborators Mike Parker and Donato Dozzy. To experience Cio’s music is to follow a throughline that traces the complex history of contemporary techno in a single gesture, compelled by the vast unknown and the primordial familiar in equal measure. Recalling the blurred realism of Richter’s photo-paintings or the timeless intricacy of Bach’s fugues, Cio’s self-contained sonic world delicately reframes our own precious lifecycle, a reflection revealed through its elegant and subtractive minimalism.

In collaboration with our friends at Mostra, I’m honored to share a selection from Cio D’Or’s set performed at this year’s edition of the Barcelona-based festival, a sublime triumph from a scholar of sound.

Raär is a producer, live act, DJ and studio mastering engineer from Belgium. A true artist, who is not pinned down on one particular style or emotion: from soothing ambient to heavy and dark percussion based techno workouts to IDM-inspired takes on everything in-between.
 
This live set was captured at the Stagno Records and Omen Wapta night in Milan last year and is one of his first longform live appearances. This set distills fragility and force into a compact, tactile listening experience. A rare snapshot of process in evolution: Raär’s performance moves with restraint, built around unreleased material, early sketches from his Incentive LP (released on Omen Wapta earlier this year) and glimpses of what’s to come in his collaboration with Stagno.

Lumen est le dernier chapitre d’une trilogie entamée avec Breathlines, puis Bleu.
Un cheminement lent, intérieur, parfois fragile, qui avance de l’ombre vers la lumière.

Cet album n’a pas été pensé comme une collection de titres, mais comme un voyage continu, une respiration longue, où chaque morceau prépare le suivant.
Les voix, les silences, les cordes, les nappes électroniques se répondent, se frôlent, s’effacent, reviennent… jusqu’à atteindre un point d’apaisement et d’ouverture.

Lumen parle de ce qui reste quand le tumulte s’est calmé.
De ce qui s’éclaire doucement, sans éclat inutile.
De la lumière qui ne brûle pas, mais qui rassure.

Cette écoute est provisoire et confidentielle, partagée avec quelques proches, amis et musiciens, dont le regard et la sensibilité comptent.

I’m speaking as the curator of Outis Podcast Series, but also as someone who has shared a long personal and artistic journey with Luigi. He is not just an artist I profoundly respect; he is someone who has been part of the Outis family for many years. Our connection grew naturally over time, built on trust, listening, shared vision, and mutual respect. He feels like a younger brother. Someone I believed in from the very beginning, when his talent was already clear, even if still unfolding.

Above all, Luigi is a remarkable human being. Sensitive, honest, and deeply focused, with a musical vision that is both personal and uncompromising. Over the years, I’ve watched his path evolve with quiet strength and consistency, shaping him into one of the most authentic voices of our scene. Giving him my trust felt natural; seeing how he has grown makes it even more meaningful.

This is Luigi’s second podcast for Outis Podcast Series, and it arrives at a particularly meaningful moment in our shared journey. In recent times, we’ve been quietly exploring a new musical path together. A work in progress rooted in shared sensibility, trust, and time, still taking shape, still becoming.

I wanted to release this episode during the holiday days, as a gift to everyone who follows Outis. A gesture of gratitude, and a sincere wish. It’s an invitation to slow down, to listen deeply, and to travel inward. A podcast shaped by friendship, trust, and time, expressed through the language we know best: music.

Music is how I express myself and process life’s experiences and emotions, like a form of therapy. It’s an imaginary world I can enter whenever I want, with unlimited possibilities, whether as a listener, participant, or creator. PAX-SERIES - XXII - Human Space Machine

Last October 2025 during ADE, I was invited by @zerobpm_meditation to play an ambient set inside the church Thomaskerk in Amsterdam. A sonic slowdown inside the rush of ADE ~ part of an almost 40 hour weekender shaped by ambient performances and a guided meditation by Bruno Sitton. 

This mix meant a lot to me for many personal reasons. It felt vulnerable, grounding and deeply releasing. I am so happy to share with you the recording of this magical moment. Very grateful and quietly emotional to let this one go 🕯️
