In the second week of 2023, Worg returns to release duties with Il Piano di Medea EP on Lykos Records. Having as inspiration the quest of Jason and the Argonauts, the narrative expands in three original tracks while it also includes a remix by Neel. From those parts of the mythical journey, as envisioned by Worg, we would like to present the premiere of Il Vello D'Oro. Praising the divine radiance emanating from the Golden Fleece with its grainy texture, the track bathes under its purifying energy. The steady percussion pace provides a sense of purpose and commitment, as did the mythical hero when he set sail to obtain this artifact. With the creation of a constant "buzzing" and the invocation of some strict and heavy bassline, the dense textures form a strong enough foundation to uphold the epic proportions of such an expedition. In addition to the premiere, we talked to the producer about his background and the upcoming release.

MNMT Premiere: Worg - Il Vello D'Oro [LYKOS]

Sublunar Records hosts the first and longest release by Paleman on its catalogue and welcomes, in this way, a new member to the label family. From this release, which will be officially out on the 13th of January, we are delighted to share the track Procession, an eerily drifting piece that floats over hazy sonic terrains. By starting first with firm kicks, the sequence enters next into an alluring and subtle atmospheric turbulence that dominates the senses with its clearness and repetitiveness. This dream-like, ethereal loop with its steady pumps is employed wonderfully in a way that exalts the mystified Procession Paleman aims to depict.

Blazej Malinowski releases "Moods" EP (including 747 remix) on Aquaregia Records. The internationally established Blazej Malinowski runs the Inner Tension label as a platform for his productions, collaborations and releases from emerging artists in the scene. He is also the founder of the audio-visual ambient/experimental series Why So Silent?, which hosts events everywhere from Poland to Berlin, Stockholm to Seoul. Monument premieres a "747" remix of the track "Acid Theory" from the release, which will be out on the 10th of February. 

Remixer 747 spins the original into a cosmic broken beat techno workout with soft, gooey synths gently rising and falling as you gaze off into the distance.

MNMT Premiere: Blazej Malinowski - Acid Theory (747 Remix) [Aquaregia]

Concrete Records is an Italian label based in Rome and has seen contributions from Voices From the Lake, Minilogue, Svreca, Tensal, Echologist aka Brendon Moeller and Cassegrain, and many more, with many releases gaining multiple represses. Concrete co-founder Maurizio Cascella stars in another appearance alongside three stellar remixes by Evigt Mörker, Giorgio Gigli and Phooka. Monument premieres Evigt Mörker's remix of the track "Disegno 7" from the release, which will be out on the 3rd of February.

MNMT Premiere: Maurizio Cascella - Disegno 7 (Evigt Mörker Remix) [CONCRETE]

By posing the question Are we on the run?, PRG/M explores a variety of spacey frequencies through this EP which comes in February on Mnestic Records. It includes four original tracks along with a remix from Mod21, and we are happy to bring you in contact with the release through the premiere of Here We Come. The composition starts with blasting warps and syncopated faders to announce the journey's beginning of those who come from far beyond. Its structure is further enhanced with otherworldly bleeps and sparks, resembling parts of the vast, chaotic, and dark vacuum surrounding our full-of-life planet. The track blooms with radiating cosmic energy while maintaining a light atmosphere in its duration and filtering itself with futuristic layers and outlines as a signal of the upcoming arrival.

MNMT Premiere: PRG M - Here We Come [Mnestic]

Kato De Vidts returns to the Futurepast imprint with "Human Becomings" EP, the release is part of our Alternative Earth series (FP005). The basis for many of the tracks on her "Human Becomings" EP was created for a DJ performance at Horst Arts & Music Festival's ambient stage last year. Her aim for this performance was to create a collective serenity through music, a unified experience where the audience would be encouraged to shed light on their own vulnerable presence and emotion. Her creative process is now extended on this EP and becomes an invitation inwards for the listener. Each track is in some way inspired by the artist's own personal feelings, memories, and experiences. And in the sharing of these personal extracts through music, De Vidts hopes listeners might be able to recognize the depths of their own inner worlds, to feel and embrace them. 

Monument premieres the title track of EP which will be released on the 16th of February.

MNMT Premiere: Kato De Vidts - Human Becomings [Futurepast]

Sequenzial Shift is a new label project from Alex Dolby based in Italy that will focus on deeper and more experimental cuts. A veteran artist of the scene and highly prized producer known for releasing on Developer's Modularz, Emmanuel's ARTS, Marco Bailey's MB Elektronics, Teksupport and his own Affekt Recordings. His educated sound is much loved around the world and Functional Elements is an album that steps into leftfield territory with raw ideas and esoteric, analog creations with modular vibes and dystopian, ambient dubs. Monument premieres his track "Function Six" from the release "Functional Elements", which will be out on the 27th of January.
