After years of fruitful studio work and intense worldwide touring with his band Stavroz, Beazar now steps out of the shadow. On his newest EP Furry Tale the Belgian abandons the strict four to the floor backbone of his earlier work in pursuit of more freedom, to express his dry and stern grooves laden with bittersweet tension. Inspired by Radiohead, Amon Tobin, Stimming, Apparat or Lorn, Beazar delivers his most delicate offering so far.

The first single ‘Furry Tale’ is an earworm. Inspired by the capricious behaviour of a cat swinging from good-hearted flattering to a fierce temper in just the blink of an eye, its anecdotal nature will most likely get it passed on from one generation to another, as an ancient history that carefully needs to be preserved. The EP's title track marks a new and seasoned stage in Beazar’s creative path.

It comes with an equally cinematographic video by the hand of choreographer Işıl Bıçakçı. Hailing from Istanbul, her vision on contemporary dance has brought her and her pieces to celebrated festivals all over the world.

Needless to say, the EP marks a new and seasoned stage in Beazar’s creative path, clearly showing the wide range of atmospheres he manages to lay down. The opening track of the EP 'Amazinger" offers a cinematic universe where electronic & acoustic orchestras meet under the guidance of Beazar’s sorrowful trumpet, accompanied by a terrific animated video by Nele Fack.
Then there are the witty, hypnotising club vibes of “Mercurious”, where vocalist and friend Joppe Tanghe personifies the planet closest to the sun, including the wear and tear that comes with such a position. “The Third Half” hints at the discomfort whenever something is just insufficient, the extra time you wanted but never got, the half that can never be, but should have been. More existential pondering creeps in half way the EP and concludes in "The Slave Pilot", a touching and unrushed symphony led by a solo artist coming home in a house that he no longer recognises.

The years in the shadow were surely beneficial for Beazar. Like ivy, this is where he blossoms.

Hands and arms staggering adrift, abysmal stomping of barely attached feed, heads turning away from the crowd and into collective unconsciousness. In summary a human experience that hasn’t been deciphered yet. From these dramatic scenes on the edge of confusion, bass and ever repeating licks of sawtooth infused current, set of and reverberate back into known stuben spheres. Strings collecting a common goal, a faulty but refined picture of the future of which promises stick on ever so flourishing pads. We give you “Ori ‘n’ Downin” a contemporary fable of saddened significance.

Wir steigen durch den Bilderrahmen hinab ins Tal, schlendern durch einen Lindenwald, in dem wir eine verlassene Bärenhöhle finden und quartieren uns dort für die Nacht ein. Es ist stockdunkel. Du entzündest ein Streichholz. Mit einem Mal glühen die Wände, denn wir befinden uns in einer Bernsteinhöhle, gesäumt von schimmernden Stalaktiten und Stalakmiten - in Fernabsurdistan ein gängiges Naturphänomen. 
Eine zierliche Stalakmitin räuspert sich leise und trägt uns den Titelsong von ‘In einem Land vor unserer Zeit’ vor. Richtig schön hast du das gesungen, liebe Bernstein-Stalakmitin! 
«Ich mag klein sein, doch lieb bin ich noch lange nicht!», faucht sie uns an. Das imponiert uns, sodass wir vorfreudig nicken, als sie kundtut, dass sie nun Teil unserer Wandergemeinschaft sei. Zur Vervollständigung ihrer Mitgliedschaft stimmen wir über ihren neuen Nomadinnen-Namen ab und entscheiden uns für:

In 2019, @arutani became active for the @keller label for the first time. With the remix for the song “Verbrennungsmotor” by Acud and @beatmoertelz, he made a significant contribution to the spread of the Fusion 2019 hit. Now his own EP is coming out on KELLER, which is extraordinarily deep. Sweet melodies are immediately broken by marshy, deep bass structures.
